MAN-E-NEWS// ManOrMonster? Stuidos’ HEISENBORG resin action figure revealed…

Debuting at the Galactic Jerkbags Designer Con booth next week, ManOrMonster? Studios are proud to present their latest non-WoW figure… HEISENBORG! Based on artwork originally created by Ryan Browne, the hilarious homage to the king of chemistry was designed/kitbashed by Brad Rader of Battle Babies fame, with production handed over to MoM’s Brandon Barker. Standing at 4.5″ tall and featuring the now-standard WoW compatible neo-mag joints, the resin figure is set to become the first ever carded MoM figure, coming complete with test tube accessory and a Sky Blue background diorama… Edition size, pricing and final colours are still to be decided, so be sure to keep track of the MoM Instagram feed here for a full reveal soon!

With Design Fiesta 38 open it’s doors tomorrow (11/2), Wombat Toys have just revealed their 4 exclusive figures that’ll be available at the event! Featuring new one and two eyed variants of the lumbering two headed Gorilla Soto, both sprayed in metallic blue with contrasting pink and tan detailing, the real draw has got to be the latest versions of Santo Majin; coming with a number of metallic sprays, alternating red/gold chest kanji, plus those all-important dual battle maces! Those unable to attend the event will be glad to know that forwarding service M-World are currently offering up all 4 figures, with the Sotos priced at 16,000yen (approx. $160) and the Santo Majins 19,000yen (approx. $190). Swifty following his awesome take on Double Heather, Buff Monster has revealed that GPK’s Graffiti Petey is the latest figure to be given the Melty Misfits Cheap Toy treatment! Creator of arguably one of the best toys we’ve seen all year, James Groman has finally been given the chance to customise a Rotten Rex for himself… and boy is it EPIC! Cast by Grody Shogun in a grey soft vinyl, Groman opted to take the 12″ tall beast down a more realistic route than the kaiju inspired custom heads we’ve seen so far, mixing flat, earthy tones with detail hugging black washes to create the stunning graphic novel-esque aesthetic that prevails throughout Groman’s own Rotten Rex comic book. Joining the previously posted custom Ghost Cave Cyco Ape, Lamour Supreme has just revealed he’ll also be bring along the latest run of Mishka Kaiju Bootlegs to Designer Con next week! Available in 2 different base colourways, a bright yellow and greyish blue, the super limited batch of figures come with a number of vintage kaiju-inspired sprays and hand painted detailing, with no 2 pieces alike. Mark Vasquez of Fantastic Plastic Toys has just revealed that the M.U.S.C.L.E figure sized Mystical Warriors of the Ring could be making a leap to the classic 5.5″ action figure scale soon! Keen to point out that they will not be changing the direction of the line anytime soon, the pictured upscaled 3D print of Leo Corazon was really just created to show off the flexibility of the series’ digitally sculpted designs. Currently in the hands of Improbably Cast, we’ll be keeping our fingers for a release in some form or another down the line- however limited that may be! Unbox Industries are proud to announce that Jeff Lamm’s Spike Wad figure is set to receive a new colourway next week! Seeing a return to one of the figure’s original editions, the Toy Story inspired “Claw”, this latest version has been cast in a GID vinyl, complete with the same lime/light blue sprays and pearlescent accents. Joining the Designer Con exclusive Kappa Shonen posted earlier in the week, Cometdebris has just revealed that he will also have a new version of the Ace Robo sofubi up for grabs at the event too! Standing at around 5″ tall and coming with 3 points of articulation, the vintage-style figure has been cast in a bright blue soft vinyl with blocked grey, black, yellow and grey sprays for this release. Priced at $60 each, Ace Robo will be available at booth #418 from Saturday, November 9th…

Continuing their recent onslaught of incredible collaborative creations, the guys over at Goodleg have teamed up with the Weirdo Toys blog for their latest slice of bootleg genius… the Toxic Underworld! Paying tribute to the golden era of shabby knock-off toy lines such as Underworld Warriors, Sungold’s Monster, and Nightmare Warriors, the super-creepy figure stands at around 6″ tall, coming with a whopping 5 points of articulation. Limited to just 5 one-off pieces, each sprayed in their very own bootleg-style colourway, the chainsaw-armed skellies will be touching down in the Goodleg Toys store tonight (10/31) at Midnight GMT +1. The guys over at DKE Toys are proud to introduce the first of many exclusives they’ll have on offer at Designer Con next week… Mike Egan‘s Bones with Wings & Coffin! Cast in a white soft vinyl, the edition of 25 each come with hand painted accents from the artist himself, a pair of angel’s wings and a custom made wooden coffin to house them in. Individually signed and numbered, the figures will be available at the DKE booth (#126) for $150 a piece…

MAN-E-NEWS// Shub Zeroth Release 3 and 4 from Metacrypt…

Metacrypt is over the moon (?) to announce that Brian Ewing will be exhibiting some of his fantastic limited edition screenprint work this weekend at the Rivet Gallery in Columbus Ohio. Entitled “Horror Business”, the show will play host to a number of prints, posters and original art pieces alongside an all new version of Shub Zeroth… the [SPECIAL TYPE] {NEGOCIO DE HORROR} edition! Up for grabs in super-limited numbers, the beauty has been cast in a strawberry red vinyl complete with layer upon layer of purple, black and gold sprays. Available at from the gallery on November 2nd at 7PM, interested parties can find out more here…

But that’s not all! Celebrating Halloween in style, Metacrypt will also be offering up Shub in his first official web release. Cast in both black and orange unpianted soft vinyl, the 9″ tall figures will be touching down in the Metacrypt store today (10/31) at Noon Pacific time, coming blind bagged for just $100 plus shipping…

Whilst we don’t usually post toys that have already sold out, the latest resin action figure from Ralph Niese is just simply too good to ignore! Entitled “Lady Cyborg”, the absolutely stunning piece was hand sculpted by the artist (barring the Glyos and Modulok joints), coming cast in resin by the guys over at Goodleg Toys. Standing at around 5.5″ tall, featuring 3 points of articulation, and a wonderfully minimal paint job, the piece de resistance though has got to be the packaging- a beautifully realised, retro styled custom box designed and produced by the artist himself! Making it’s debut at Southhampton’s RORC, and subsequently selling out on the Goodleg store soon after (for just $55, may we add!), we’ll be keeping our fingers and toes crossed that this isn’t the last we see of Lady Cyborg…

Teaming up with Alex Pardee, Tenacious Toys are proud to present an exclusive colourway of the hugely popular Buunywith “Affinity to Slave Girls” mini figure! Standing at around 2″ tall and 3″ wide, the hilarious tribute to everyone’s favourite intergalactic crime boss has been injection moulded in a Tenacious blue PVC for this release. Joining the raft of custom kaiju and sofubi he’ll be carting to Designer Con, D-Lux has just revealed quite possibly our favourite pieces yet… the Beavis and Butthead Sewer Creeps! Once again taking on Coma21‘s much loved sofubi in style, D-Lux has faithfully recreated the pair’s instantly recognisable ACDC and Metallica shirts, complete with red and grey shorts, and of course, shocks of brown and blonde hair. Due to be sold as a one-off 2 pack, Beavis and Butthead will be up for grabs via booth #315 for an undisclosed sum…

MAN-E-NEWS// Monstrehero’s Axeface Warchief resin figures revealed…

Originally teased here way back in March, it would appear that Monstrehero‘s Axeface Warchiefs will finally be seeing the light of day soon! A follow-up to the awesome Axeface figure released last year, this completely retooled version replaces the original head piece and weaponry with an all-new long sword design and equally intimidating cape. Cast in a multitude of resin tints and finished in a dazzling array of one-off hand painted colourways, we’ll be keeping our fingers crossed they’ll be making their way to the Monstrehero store over the coming weeks. UPDATE// Monstrehero have confirmed that the Warchiefs will be available for $85 each this Friday, Nov. 1st at 12PM EST in their online shop HERE.

Infamous Lego/art toy crossover artist Artbot138 proudly presents the first of many offerings he’ll have up for grabs at Designer Con next week, the Legends of Vinyl (Set 1) custom 3 pack! Paying tribute to some of the biggest players in the art toy scene right now, this first set features 3 artists; Buff Monster, Sucklord and Scott Tolleson, all coming complete with trademark mowhawk/Boba mask/argyle (most of which has been custom printed), plus a whole range of likely accessories! Packed in a nifty see-thru Lego display case, the trio will be touching down at the Vinyl Thoughts Nation booth (#830) for an undisclosed sum. Stay tuned for more from the artist later in the week…

Lamour Supreme has just revealed that he’ll be bringing along a couple of custom Ghost Cave Cyco Apes to Designer Con next week! Whilst the second is still to be revealed, it would appear the pair have been cast in a black soft vinyl, sprayed with flesh-tones for the face and chest, and finished off with a wildstyle mix of metallics for the rest of the body. With pricing and release details thin on the ground, we suggest keeping a close eye on the Lamour Instagram feed here for news on their sale as we get closer to the con… Here’s keeping our fingers crossed that the pictured afro’d omake makes it into future releases too!

MAN-E-NEWS// Blurble’s “Shroom” resin figure revealed…

Hot off the heals of Sparrow, Blurble has wasted no time in revealing his latest resin figure, the tentatively titled Shroom! Digitally sculpted by none other than iamscumbag, the piece appears to be around the same scale as Sparrow (approx. 3″), coming with a similar pair of ripped shorts and cheeky smile- albeit on a super-creepy looking mushroom head! Word on the release is still thin on the ground at the moment, but with DuBose Art heading production once more, we’re guessing we won’t have too long to wait for the first batch… Keep track of Blurble’s Instagram feed right here for more details soon!

Spotted by the keen eyes of master collector Ying Choy yesterday, it would appear that a soft vinyl version of Attack on Titan’s Colossal Titan will be touching down early next year! Up for grabs via preorder on character/hobby site Amiami, the iconic character has been given a rather sweet looking SD makeover, standing at 20cm tall, with 3 points of articulation and a faithfully recreated paint job. Priced at just 4,900yen (approx. $50) plus shipping, Colossal Titan can be found in the store right here. Purchasers can expect the figure to ship late April 2014…
