Taking a break from his constant flow of customs and one-off pieces, Bob Conge aka Plaseebo comes with his latest all-new sculpt, The Horseman’s Head! Inspired by the great American novel “The Legend Of Sleepy Hollow”, the 4.25″ x 5″ severed head has been cast in a solid amber resin for this initial release, featuring a switched LED unit mounted in the base that illuminates the teeth, eyes, nose, and exposed brain in a wash of slowly changing colours. Well, judging by Healeymade‘s recent Instagram post, it would appear that he’s teamed up with Edward Scissorhands for his latest stroke of genius (not really!), proudly presenting a wonderfully strange “Topiary” edition of the Quackula bootleg just in time for Halloween! Cast in resin using an undisclosed flocking technique (well, that’s our guess anyway), the leafy beauties should hopefully be making an appearance in the Healeymade store at some point next week. Narrowly missing release at NYCC a couple of weeks back, Soundwave810 of Cassette Man Studios is proud to present his latest batch of Taa’lon Glyos customs! Created from a mixture of original Glyos and hand made resin parts, the stunning cloaked figures have been inspired by Micronauts/Microman this time around, coming in the familiar mix of translucent primary colours and blocked whites/metallics seen in the original Time Travellers. Priced at just $40 a piece, the Taa’lons will be touching down in the Soundwave810 store this Friday, October 25th at 9.30pm EST…

MAN-E-NEWS// Bunnywith Vintage Packaging from Alex Pardee x Retroband…

Created as part of the recent Bunnywith exhibition at Gallery 1988, Alex Pardee has collaborated with Retroband‘s Aaron Moreno for the release of Bunnywith Vinatge Packaging! Calling on Aaron’s amazing skills in presentation, the pair devised a custom bootleg Bunnywith using a number of different vintage 3.75″ action figures, giving the crazy looking piece a simple white and pink paint job before mounting him in Aaron’s trademark hand-cut packaging. Limited to an edition of just 20 for the show, the remaining pieces have just been put up in the Gallery 1988 store right here for $150 each. The pair are already in talks about future pieces, so we’ll be keeping our fingers crossed for the next in the series soon!

Angel Abby have just revealed that they’ve teamed up with Shimomoku for a special Halloween edition of the ever popular Lampu Kinokeshi! Standing at around 2.5″ tall with 2 points of articulation, the figure has been cast in a GID soft vinyl this time around, replete with vintage style neon and metallic sprays. Due to touch down in the Angel Abby store this Sunday, October 27th at Midnight Hong Kong time, pricing on the little guy is still to be confirmed…

MAN-E-NEWS// The Sucklord x DKE Toys’ Super Suck-Up 2…

Following the huge success of the Super Suck-Up group show at DCon last year, the Sucklord and DKE Toys have once again teamed up for round 2! Featuring exclusive reworks of the infamous Sucklord bootleg from 14 participants including Plaseebo, healeymade, Grody Shogun and of course the Sucklord himself, the figures have been recast in batches of 50, each coming individually hand finished and backed by the artists. Coming with an estimated price tag of just $100 each (with slight variations on the more extravagant pieces), the figures will be on display and available to buy at the DKE Toys Designer Con booth starting November 9th- here’s hoping a few make it online soon after!

But that’s not all! Judging by the recently revealed pics below, it would appear that DKE and the Sucklord will also be working on a sofubi micro for the event too! Whilst nothing has been confirmed as of yet, the finished wax proto below sure looks promising. Stay tuned for the full lowdown, plus figure reveals, as we get closer to the event…

Making at an appearance at the Mishka NYCC booth a couple of weeks back, Scumbags and Superstars‘ debut sofubi figure, the Skull Chief, is now up for grabs online! Judging by his recent Instagram activity, it would appear that DCon ’13 is set to be Paul Kaiju‘s most prolific yet, with debuts, exclusives and one-offs currently being revealed by the bucketload! Featuring a beautiful red cast King Jinx painted run, vintage style Mr REE’s, 2 versions of the Mock Pilot, plus the coming of Chibi Jinx in a variety of colourways, the top of our wanted list has got to be the western debut of Kaiju’s latest collaboration with RealHead in the form of JINXman- just check out that killer paint app! Releasing 17 years after the original Fink-Shit debut, this modified version sports an awesome new hairstyle, coming cast in a stunning marbled black/red soft vinyl with additional black and silver hand painted detailing. Originally making an appearance through Medicom Toy as a Japan-only release, Diamond have just revealed that they will be distributing the “DC Heros” sofubi line in the West! Kicking things off with vintage-style interpretations of both Batman and Joker, the pair have been sculpted by Bear Model, standing at roughly 9″ tall with 4-5 points of articulation (plus a removable cape and mask in Batman’s case!). Priced at a recommended retail of $79.99 each, the figures should be cropping up at your local comic book store for pre-order soon. The first in a long line of DC sofubis planned from Medicom, we’ll be keeping our ears to the ground for future characters soon!

Bringing a ton of exclusives to the Onell Design NYCC booth last week, Monster Worship have just revealed that the leftovers will be heading to the online store tomorrow (22/10) at 7pm EST! Consisting of the all-new micro sofubi Greasebat in orange, Jeff Lamm’s Gummi Playset in black with silver sprays and the Alter Beast in a stunning marbled black/orange, we’re guessing it’ll be the fourth and final figure that’ll have everyone F5ing on the drop- the debut of Michael Skattum’s Slime Bat in an unpainted orange vinyl! Never one to rest on his laurels, the mastermind that is Patient No.6 is proud to present his second resin release in as many weeks! Entitled the Psychiatrist, the stunning piece continues the artist’s look into the sinister side of mental health treatment, with the fully articulated doctor coming complete with a number of macabre tools and a rather ominous ‘happy’ mask. Hot off the heels of ‘Skeleton‘ last week (unfortunately sneaking under our radar during our travels), Retroband is proud to present the second in his trifecta of Halloween releases, the super-creepy Pumpkin! Taken from cult horror Halloween III, the only not to feature Michael Myers, the hand cast mini figure comes with 1 of the 3 killer ‘Silver Shamrock’ masks central to the film. Hand cast and painted by the artist, each figure once again comes double blister packed on a beautifully illustrated header- this time with a hypnotic samhain television set accessory! Creo Design has teamed up with illustrator Sam Hadley aka Slumber for the release of their latest series, the SlumberBean ‘Flavour Friends’! Originally created as a character for Slumber’s ongoing series of illustrated prints, this 3D version, realised by Creo’s Chris Alexander in his unique PU resin, has had the honour of featuring in the Pictoplasma Character Compendium, exhibiting in Bristol, Berlin and Madrid. With a total of 5 different ‘flavours’ to be released over the coming months, Creo will be kicking things off with ‘Original’ red, dropping in the SlumberBean store on Friday, November 1st at Noon GMT. We’ve seen them released in a number of exclusive runs over the past couple of months, so it came with great pleasure today to find that the long awaited Ion Men will finally be getting a full online release next week courtesy of the toys’ co-designer Turbopistola! Cast in a super-sleek clear black vinyl for this artist proof run, Turbs will be offering up a total of 8 different builds this time around (including the pictured transforming Uchusen), each coming with a total of 7 fully interchangeable parts. Opening it’s doors at the Rampage Studios gallery space today, “Three Guys Walk into a Bar…” is the latest show to be curated by the one and only Jon Malmstedt. Featuring an incredible amount of art and toys from unlikely trio Jeff Lamm, Bwana Spoons and The Galaxy People’s Brian Bunting (plus a few pieces from Jon himself!), we’ve decided to give you guys a quick rundown of what will be up for grabs at the event- Here’s hoping a least a few pieces remain for the online store drop next Monday, October 21st!

Jeff Lamm x Unbox Gummi playsets- Hand sprayed/painted by Rampage, these little guys will be offered up blind bagged via the infamous Rampage gacha machine!

Rampage Sitting Greasebats- the very first painted run of Jeff Lamm x Monster Worships’ mini Greasbat sofubi, the batch has been cast in an orange soft vinyl, with Rampage’s signature mix of neon and metallic VColor sprays.

Real Fighting Greasebats- The latest edition of the original Monster Worship produced Greasebat, these come unpainted in a beautiful black and orange swirled vinyl.

Exclusive Galaxy People vinyl- The trio of vintage pachi-style figures return for quite possibly the best colourways yet! Cast in clear vinyl and filled with contrasting orange and green tinsel, the figures come in either a black/yellow or metallic aqua/gold sprays.

Exclusive Jeff- Bwana Spoons comes with the latest version of his ever popular sofubi! Cast in a black soft vinyl, this run has been sprayed in a mix of teal, yellow and purple sprays.

Bwana customs- Alongside the new Jeff variant, Bwana has also brought along a shed load of one-off customs, including Sleeping Killers, Mini Killers and Globbys.

Rampage customs- Jon will also be bring a whole host of customs along to the event, with fully painted M5 Bravos, Steegars, Galaxy People and even a fresh batch of new GID RAMPAGE Ghouls!

Various artwork- Every artist involved in the show will also be displaying a number of different one-off paintings, illustrations and prints, including a total of 13 stunning ink drawings from Jeff Lamm!

Kit-bashed from a mix of military mini figures and what appears to be a Littlest Pet Shop doggy(!), the hilarious combo has been recast in resin and hand painted by the artist. With all branches of the military said to be featured, we’re guessing the 4″ tall figures will be offered up blind bagged upon their release later today (10/18).
