Europe’s premier designer toy outlet Minty Fresh come with their latest exclusive release from Mighty Jaxx, Daniel Yu‘s ‘Oi! Cthulhu’… Heavily influenced by H. P. Lovecraft and infused with a touch of punk subculture, this juxtaposition of mythical creature and present-day stands at 6″ (inches) tall, comes with magnetic interchangeable hands and mini devil wings! Packed in a blister card with an epic backer designed by Ralph Niese, each piece has been painstakingly hand painted in a Mintyfresh exclusive blue and green. Limited to an edition of 50 pieces this time around, the figure is now available directly through Mintyfresh, coming signed by Daniel for €54,95 plus shipping…

Originally teased way back in November of last year, resin artist Jimmy Foo is proud to present his latest custom masterpiece, the “Is that you Bob?” custom Boba Fett x Ewok mash-up! Created as a limited run for a select few of Foo’s collectors, the toy has been kit-bashed from vintage Kenner Boba Fett and Ewok 3.75″ action figures, replete with additional sculpting, some beautifully detailed paint work and a fully removable helmet. It’s not clear as to whether these guys are resin multiples, or if each piece features original figure parts- we’re kind of hoping for the former as these a crying out for a general release! It’s been a while since we’ve seen a new figure release from 2bitHACK, so it came with great pleasure this morning to find that his latest piece will be ready for public consumption in just a few days time! Entitled ‘JP4000’, the ingenius custom bootleg has been kit-bashed from a vintage Kenner Jurassic Park Velociraptor and Robotix R4000 pilot. Whilst a big departure from awesome custom bootlegs we’ve been posting recently, the lastest work from Jonathan over at DuBose Art and Design was just too big to be ignored… presenting the custom painted 1:1 Gillman bust! Standing at a monstrous 18″ tall, the long since sold out resin based on everyone’s favourite Monster Squad ‘baddie’ (sculpted by Jeremy Bohr and produced by Black Heart), has been lavished with layer upon layer of Monster Kolor sprays, resulting in the deeply textured, almost photo-realistic finish you see above. Available on the DuBose store right now, the absolutely breath taking piece can be yours for $375 plus shipping…

Following a hugely successful debut drop last week, Tanin over at the Ministry of Kongz is proud to present the first hand painted versions of the Kruzzilla vinyl figure! Retooled from last year’s resin release, the fully articulated beast has been limited to 3 one-off colourways this time around; a gorgeous copper brown, a Superman inspired blue, red and yellow, and our favourite, the classic kaiju green and yellow with red highlights. Originally created as an in-joke amongst the bootleg action figure community, Ben Spencer‘s ‘Grampor’ is finally seeing the light of day courtesy of ManOrMonster? Studios! Some call him “artistically devoid”, others “just plain ugly”, the absolutely hilarious figure has been kit-bashed from a variety of vintage action figure KOs, coming cast by MoM? in a bootleg-tastic 2-tone blue and red resin. Featuring the now standard Warlords of Wor compatible neo-mag joints, each figure is due to come touch down with custom header card and a handful of Werthers (!) this July 4th. Hot off the heals of the recent B.A.S.T.A.R.D and Tokyo Junkie 5 exhibitions, Jon over at Rampage Toys wastes no time in preparing his next killer sofubi collab… proudly presenting the Rampaging Steregons! Utilising NerdOne’s highly underrated platform, Jon has expertly sprayed the figures up in a style akin to Shegeru’s gruesome NZOMBIES, the skinless beasts coming in a mixture of fleshy reds, pinks, black and white. Limited to an edition of 6, the 6.5″ tall figures will be touching down in the Rampage Studios store on June 14th for around $120 plus shipping. Anyone who has ever had a glimpse at the Man-E toy collection will know about our certain soft spot for Star Case, so it came with much pleasure last week to find that the Star Wars fan site had unveiled yet another must-have sofubi release… presenting the adorable R-2! Once again focusing on playability, the nod to everyone’s favourite droid comes with a number of modular pieces including 4 head sculpts, 2 attachments and even a mini pilot nestled in the body! Priced at 6300yen (around $63), pre-order has unfortunately closed on the figure, so we suggest either hitting up Manadarake in the near future for a lucky resale, or patiently waiting for the next colourway on the Star Case site

Luke Toywalker over at Goodleg Toys kindly shares a little info on their first ever mini figure release… WARZILLA, Destroyer of Worlds! Kit-bashed from a vintage green army man and Godzilla mini, the hilarious figure will be making it’s way to the Goodleg store at Midnight tonight (GMT+1) in both translucent pink or green hand cast resins… But this is no regular release though! Instead of setting a price for the little guy, Goodleg will be offering him up completely free of charge to anyone who spends over $35! Depending on the figure’s reception, more ‘buyable’ versions may be on offer in the near future- but if you don’t fancy taking the risk (or want him now!), we suggest heading over and making a purchase ASAP…

As promised earlier today, we bring you the reveal of yet another Healeymade produced figure, as Buff Monster comes with another 2 ‘Double Heather’ Melty Misfit Cheap Toy colourways! Opting for the more traditionally ‘Buff’ black and hot pink, the 1.5″ tall resin figures will be making their way onto the Buff Monster store at some point tomorrow (May 31st) for just $15 each plus shipping (TBC). With many people missing out the first time around, Buff has stated that the release will be treated a little differently this time to give more people a chance of scoring one… here’s hoping part of that solution is a ton more stock! Fresh from the success of the recent ‘BA Baracus From Outer Space’ release, Peter Goral over at Killer Bootlegs has just revealed yet another all-new figure for release… the Smoked Out Phantom! Kit-bashed from various vintage Star Wars toys, the skull-faced villain has been cast up in a gorgeous smoked clear resin, coming complete with a beautifully executed red and black resin lightsabre accessory! No news on edition size or pricing as of yet, but Peter has stated that a standard ‘headed’ release will be hitting the KB store this Saturday, June 1st at 3pm CST, with an exclusive ‘backed’ version planned for SDCC in July… More news on that soon!

Wasting no time since the release of Roid Randy at Toy Mafia just last week, the guys over at Ultimate Skull and Cobra are proud to reveal their most ambitious project yet… the aptly titled Devastator! Standing at a jaw-dropping 9″ of hand cast resin, the beast, sculpted by Tim Stephson, comes with 8 fully articulated joints. Opting for a dyed rather than painted finish, this only helps to highlight the staggering amount of different parts the figure is made up from- 43 going by our unofficial count! Priced at a ridiculously cheap $130 plus shipping, the 2 lbs of solid resin is available on the USaC store right here. The guys will be putting up various one-off colourways in the near future, so be sure to keep regularly checking back to avoid disappointment!

NY’s resident resin guru Healeymade is gearing up for the release of his latest slab of lowbrow genius, the FAKE-HER custom bootleg! In a nod to every sexless single guy’s blow-up friend (!), the mannequin like figure has been beautifully hand cast in the colours of He-Man’s infamous doppelganger Faker, a muted light blue and firey orange. Limited to just 20 pieces this time around, FAKE-HER will be touching down in the Healeymade store tonight (May 30th) at 9pm Eastern time for an undisclosed sum… Stay tuned for more from Healeymade later today!

Toy artist Ersico once again breathes new life into one of our favourite 80’s toy lines, as he proudly presents one of his latest finished customs… the GPK Cheap Toy, Muggin Megan! Standing at just over 1″ tall, Ersico has opted for a palette true to the original GPK trading card, using a mixture of flesh, pink, blonde and white, coupled with some darker, detail hugging washes. We assume the little guy was created for a private commission, but if you’re interested in a similar piece (and of course have the Cheap Toy to hand!), we suggest heading over to Ersico’s dedicated LRG thread here with any enquiries…

Utilising Tru:Tek’s recently released Bio-Drone ship sculpt, the ongoing series is set to feature a number of different ‘mini pilots’ from some of the art toy scene’s finest, the first coming in the form of Rampage Toy‘s Cupcake Lucha and Blurble‘s Gusto. Hand cast by Tru:Tek in a flexible keshi-style rubber, the 4-part figures will be available in a multitude of randomly assorted, one-off colour combinations (including the all important solid flesh!), coming bagged and headed for just $24 plus shipping.
