Lauded mini figure customiser Adam Pratt aka Small Angry Monster has finally worked his magic on one of Healeymade’s resins, the incredible ‘Venom Ashuraman’ M.A.S.K x M.U.S.C.L.E mash-up! Painted in a Buff-Monster inspired mix of pink and grey with gold detailing, the exquisitely detailed figure has been given a number of washes and highlights to form one of the most jaw-dropping pieces we’ve seen all year… No news as to whether the little guy will be available to purchase, but we’re sure if you’re lucky enough to own a spare copy of the figure (or any other for that matter!), Adam will be more than happy to create a similar piece. French custom/resin maestros ArtMyMind are proud to present their latest resin masterpiece, the beautiful Scavenger… The duo’s smallest figure to date measuring in at a micro 1.1″ tall, the meticulously detailed piece has been cast in an initial run of 3 different variants; the standard ‘Ruby and Shadow’ (Red and Black), a DIY 2 pack, plus the cold cast and hand polished ‘Iron’. Available through the ArtMyMind store now in limited quantities, the Scavengers have been priced at $22, $20 and $29 respectively…

After a whopping 14 months on the drawing board, Any Old Ion‘s labour of love, the ‘Japanese Ion Men’ modular sofubi have finally been revealed in near-finished factory sample form! Consisting of a staggering 51 different soft vinyl cast parts designed by A.O.I in conjunction with turboPISTOLA, the series features a number of interchangeable pieces inspired by previous A.O.I releases ‘Atomic Beartank’ and ‘Seismic Ace’, Spanky Stokes’ Stroll, plus a number of all-new designs from the pair. Cast in a soft Japanese vinyl by none other than Velocitron, we should hopefully be seeing the first release soon… We’ll be interested to see whether the line will be offered up as a set of individual parts or as fully assembled bots, and of course, how colour will be dealt with considering the interchangeability factor- the possibilities are limitless! Either way, this will be one series any diehard ‘bot fan will NOT want to miss…

Blurble kindly shares details of his first ever custom bootleg release, as he proudly introduces the Goo and Roo Fight Bros! Professional wrestlers in the WWSW (World Wide Slackers), the pair have been kit-bashed and re-sculpted from the iconic M.U.S.C.L.E line. Cast by none other than Luke over at Imperfecz Toyz in a flexible keshi-style rubber, the little guys come bagged with a custom Fight Bros header for just $20 a set. Limited to just 4 packs this time around, they will be available this Sunday (April 20th) at 12pm PST on the Blurble store

•Elephantos Gamma edition: Cast in a Hulk-inspired neon green glitter glow in the dark resin this ‘Gamma’ variant comes with hand painted purple pants. As with the previous ‘Faker’, these will be available on a made to order basis until May 1st. (Note- GID figures pictured appear here un-photoshopped, what you see is what you get!)

•Elephantos 4.20.13 edition: A glow in the dark green glitter resin figure  coming with a blind bag glow weapon, these will once again be made to order until May 1st.

•Elephantos Internal bleeding edition custom: A one-off piece featuring a beautiful swirled red/clear design, the figure comes complete with sword accessory.

•Elephantos Tarpits edition custom: Hand painted in a mixture of brown, black and blue, this custom comes with detachable resin mace accessory.

•Original artwork: turboPISTOLA will once again have a number of one-off pieces available for sale in his unique mixed media style. Exactly what will be on offer is still to be confirmed.

•Customs: Joining the already impressive list of figures and artwork, the artist will also be revealing a collection of customs pieces too, including both Real x Head and Dunny hand paints.

Drawing a huge amount of attention on IG yesterday, Buff Monster has just revealed an image of his first ever GPK Cheap Toy custom… a Melty Misfits take on Double Heather! Pictured here alongside the original rubber figure, the beautifully sculpted piece (presumably by Ice Cream resin head sculptor Mitch Martinez) has been cast in resin by Healeymade in an authentic GPK blue. No news on edition size or pricing as of yet, but Buff Monster has stated that they will be hitting his store at some point next week… We suggest keeping a close eye on his IG feed here for any further updates.

As promised yesterday, we bring you a little look at the latest collaboration from UME Toys, as owner Rich Page proudly reveals his take on the Creo Design mascot… Created as an exclusive for the upcoming Cardiff Tattoo & Toy Con, the little guy is due to be produced by Creo’s Chris Alexander in resin, coming complete with fully articulated arms! No news as to whether we’ll be seeing painted runs at the con or if the little fella will be left blank, but whatever the case, we’ll be keeping you guys in the loop as soon as we hear anything on this great little piece…

With Supefestival 62 just a week away now, Jon over at Rampage Toys has started to reveal some of the amazing pieces he’ll be bringing along to his booth… the first of which coming in the form of the mighty Cake Fighter! A collaboration with the Frenzy Bros, the initial festival release will just feature the fully ‘barbarian’ compatible head (no body), coming cast by Eric Nilla in a flexible kesh-style rubber. Unable to attend the event, or haven’t got a spare barbarian to custom? Then you’ll be glad to know that a micro painted run is planned for the near future featuring a similar set up to above… Expect more news soon!

FOS, founder of Britain’s longest running and most infamous skateboard company HEROIN is proud to present his first vinyl toy in conjunction with Unbox Industries… The Imp! Yep, yet more from the sculpting machine that is Ironmask today, as the ever busy artist reveals not 1, not 2, but 3 new Gorewad Monsters! Pictured here in a near-finished state, the gruesome new beasties are a little larger in scale than previous releases, giving Ironmask a whole load more scope for each of the ingenius designs. After a couple of minor setbacks with production last week (leading to a complete re-sculpting), Richard Page over at UME Toys proudly reveals the first test pull of Suki the Shrunken Head… joined by another unexpected addition, the new and improved Belemey ‘Flatfoot’! Due to be making an appearance at the Cardiff Tattoo & Toy Con in July, the little guys will no doubt be available in a variety of hand painted runs including a standard ‘OG’, ‘Noir’, and of course, a special CT&TC exclusive. MAN-E-NEWS// Custom 5.5″ Barbarianaut from Monsterforge…

A figure we’ve been meaning to post since first laying eyes upon it a couple of weeks back over at Nerd City, Barbarianaut is the latest (and quite possibly greatest!) custom action figure from Monsterforge… Based on his recent OMFG Series 3 entry, the incredible piece has been kit-bashed from various vintage MOTU figures, with additional sculpting and meticulous painting faithfully recreating the mini figure in the standard 5.5″ scale. Sadly created as just a one-off piece at the moment, we’ll be keeping both our fingers and toes crossed for a resin multiple in the near future! In the meantime, if you’re interested in bagging a copy of the original 2″ version we suggest heading over to the OMFG Series 3 Kickstarter page here and make a pledge ASAP- the campaign closes in just 20 hours at the time of writing, and the guys at October Toys still need another $120 of pledges to reach their goal!

Following the hugely popular ‘Top Rope‘ custom keshi, Nama Niku has teamed up with Jimmy Rommel aka Ironmask for the latest instalment of wrestling ring-headed madness… presenting Deathmatch! Currently undergoing the meticulous kit-bashing Nama Niku has become known for, the figure is set to feature the body of Ironmask’s concrete monster (name unknown) with the standard NNWA ring, this time around coming complete with interchangeable ropes and ‘steel’ cage! No news as to who will be producing the figure (our money is on Eric Nilla) or when it’ll be seeing the light of day, but you can guarantee that as soon as we hear anything you guys will be the first to know…

Previously featured here as a work in progress sculpt a couple of month back, Brooke A Allen‘s latest resin mini figure, simply titled “CUD”, is finally upon us!  Markedly bigger in scale than previous efforts at around 2″ tall, the fearsome beast has been hand cast in a number of different one-off colourways, each coming hand painted with GITD highlights. Quickly becoming standard with all of Brooke’s releases, CUD features a number of removable accessories including a salamander display base and incredible chained mace… Limited to just 10 pieces this time around (with a further 5 available for trade), each comes bagged with a custom signed and numbered header/background element for just $16 plus shipping. Following our little introduction to the ‘Exciting World of Jalldoon‘ last month, creator Jesse Chagnon of Rampageo Industries/Doom Kick has very kindly sent over a preview set of the first batch of figures the ‘Slimes’, so without further ado, we take another look at the highly promising line… Consisting of 5 beautifully cast resin minis, the pack has been split up into ‘good’ and ‘evil’ characters with a view to developing a full MOTU-style narrative as the series progresses. Featuring main protagonist Prince Algor (2 eyes) and his faithful companion Toron (3 eyes), these are joined by ‘baddies’ Master Boshak (facemask) and Jelgon (1 eye), plus Jelldoon’s native inhabitant, the Mini Slime, all sculpted in Jesse’s distinctive, minimal style. To be hosted/curated by Rampage Studios‘ Jon Malmstedt, the exhibition is set to feature a ton of figures from the new series, some collaborations (including the teased B.A.S.T.A.R.D from Rampage Toys above), plus a whole host of surprises… No news as to whether the recently revealed ‘Bullet Belt’ Skinner collab will be making an appearance, but you can be sure as soon as we hear anything you guys will be the first to know…

Featuring in Killer Bootlegs’ recent Toys Are Us group show at the Rockford Art Deli, Christopher Cannon from the newly formed Kaboom Toys kindly shares a little info on his latest project, Mash-Ups of the Multiverse… In a similar vein to Goodleg Toys’ WOTU line, Cannon has produced a series of one-off action figure customs from a number of different vintage lines (namely MOTU and The A Team) with the most popular designs heading to resin- the first of which coming in the form of the pictured DarkRider… With a constantly updated selection of figures over at the dedicated Kaboom store (plus a limited number of pieces still available through the Rockford Art Deli store), we’ll be keeping a close eye on the promising artist so you can expect to see more from him soon!
