MAN-E-NEWS// 7 Seals final reveal from Menace Inc Studios…

Full Reveal Poster

With the 7 Seals resin series poised for imminent release tonight (check out our past coverage here), Jeff Beck over at Menace Inc Studios is proud to reveal the final 7 figures and golden ticket prize that will be up for grabs… Featuring an awesome selection of resins from some of the scene’s finest (plus our very own Tru:Tek!), each has been inspired by one of the 7 Seals of the Apocalypse. Tru:Tek’s entry, the golden ticket prize, took inspiration from the 7-eyed lamb beast that was said to be the only creature that could open the seals. Opting for a ring design (which proved nigh on impossible to cast!), the piece was produced in a stone grey urethane rubber with a black acrylic rub finish. 3 of these, along with a mini print, will be offered up to purchasers of the randomly allocated golden ticket boxes…

As mentioned in our previous posts, Jeff will be kicking proceedings off tonight (December 20th) with a launch party at the Geeksboro Coffeehouse and Cinema from 8pm-Midnight. Featuring free giveaways all night, an extra special giveaway at midnight to usher in the Mayan prediction of the end of the world, and of course, the 7 Seals release itself, Jeff will be putting any remaining stock up in the Menace Inc store this weekend for anyone who unfortunately can’t make the event…

moledrilla_a

Hot off the heels of the recent Rampage release (find out more here), Bob Conge aka Plaseebo is proud to present perhaps the most sought after Molezilla customs yet… the MOLEDRILLA’s from Todd Robertson aka Mechavirus! Originally previewed as a work in progress way back in the summer, Todd has worked his ‘mecha’ magic on 6 of the mole kaijus, using found objects, styrene and vintage vacuum tubes to re-sculpt the figure’s head. On top of that, Todd also created a custom Drill arm extension that has been hand cast in resin by the artist himself. Finished in several coats of glorious metallic Monster Kolor, the set of 6 MOLEDRILLAs will be heading to the Plaseebo store this Friday (December 21st) for $320 each plus shipping…

MAN-E-NEWS// ‘MOTUMU’ Star Wars x MOTU mash-ups from ManOrMonster? Studio…

motumu

Brandon of ManOrMonster Studio has just revealed details of his latest neo-vintage designer action figure line, MOTUMU (sadly no translation for the acronym as of yet!)… A more straightforward custom project than the ongoing Warlords of Wor series, MOTUMU appears to feature the heads of our favourite Star Wars characters on top of resin cast MOTU bodies. Featuring the same ingenius magnetic articulation as Bog-Nar, the figures carry the same compatible joints as the aforementioned WoW character, making them ripe for cross series mash-ups… just check out the MOTUMU Bog-Nar above right! Apart from confirming that the pictured Stormtrooper/Battle Ready He-Man is due to be the first in the series to drop in the new year, Brandon has remained tight lipped about the project so far, but you can be sure that as soon as we hear anything we’ll let you guys know… In the meantime, check out the Warlords of Wor FB page here for all things ManOrMonster?!

MAN-E-NEWS// HTF Spiral Zone Series 2 keshi remake from Eric Nilla…

spiral zone

As predicted in our post last week, the HTF Spiral Zone tank set remake from Eric Nilla will be hitting the master caster’s store soon! Originally cast up for a private commission, the Series 2 keshi (rubber mini figure) is easily one of the rarest and most sought after of the Spiral Zone line, so it’s a joy to see that it will finally be a part of our collection. Cast in a variety of different solid and clear tints (NOT including the series’ original colours), each set comes with an articulated gun turret plus 2 removable micro figure pilots. No news on when they’ll be available, but we’re guessing they’ll be heading to the Nilla store for around $15-$20 sometime later this week…

MAN-E-NEWS// The Galaxxor resin mini from The Godbeast x Ben Spencer…

galaxxor mini

Following the early work-in-progress sculpt we featured a month or so back, Marty ‘Godbeast’ Hansen is proud to reveal the very first test shots of his latest collaboration with Ben Spencer, the Galaxxor mini! Based on Ben’s original design, the awesome mini figure has been sculpt, protoyped and cast by Marty in a variety of different resin colourways. No news on an exact release date as of yet, but we’re guessing the pictured GID yellow, violet and cosmic black should be available through the Galaxxor store soon. We’ll bring you more news as soon as it hits…

MAN-E-NEWS// The ‘Ewoking Dead’ and ‘David’ resins from Killer Bootlegs…

ewoking

Unfortunately missing out on the full release whilst we were away, we nevertheless bring you details of Killer Bootlegs‘ latest figures, the Ewoking Dead! Based on the illustration by Jonathan Fallon (of the same name), the figure has been booted from a vintage “Teebo” Ewok figure, coming with an array of gruesome sculpted zombie guts and brains. Cast in resin by KB’s Peter Wheatstraw Goral, each figure was then flocked in 3 different colourways, hand painted and given a real cloth cowl. Available in a strictly limited run, the Ewoking Dead can be found on the KB store now for just $40 plus shipping…

IMG_20121210_231513

As well as the awesome AMC/Star Wars send up, Killer Bootlegs have also been in cahoots with Man-E-Toys favourite themarkultra for a very special release of the recently featured “Dave” bootleg. Essentially creating a whole new piece from the awesome astronaut mash-up, Killer Bootlegs’ iteration, entitled ‘David’ is apparently “the result of Dave having flown his spaceship through a field of ‘Cosmic Radiation’. His DNA was combined with the DNA of an onboard test subject/pet iguana, Iggy. He was transformed into a monstrous form. Lizard arms and legs ripped through his spacesuit and his brain chemistry was altered in a way that he now roams the universe with an appetite for destruction and death..”- hilarious! Finished in a vivid selection of neon and metallic Monster Kolor, ‘David’ should hopefully be available in the KB store soon (that’s if he hasn’t already sold out!)…
