As if winning the “Best Self Produced Toy” award at the recent DTAs wasn’t enough, Ryan Rutherford of Brutherford Industries has teamed up with Clutter to present the very first Ice Scream Man custom show, Día Del Helado Muerto! To be held at the new Beacon, NY Clutter Gallery Space, the exhibition is set to feature customs from some of the industry’s finest including  Brown Magic Paint Co. (the original Ice Scream Man customisers!), BrutherfordCarson CatlinChauskoskisDavid AyllonDrilOneFrank MysterioGrimsheepHonkeylipsJ★RYUJC RiveraJosh Longo, Julie B. of Pretty in PlasticLeeciferMark NagataMotorbotNathan HamillPlaseeboRsinScott WilkowskiSpanky StokesTrust PigsVoltaire and many more… The first to be revealed comes in the form of  Mark Nagata of Max Toy Co.‘s contribution, “I Scream Kaiju”. Following our preview a couple of weeks back, Luke over at Impefecz Toys is proud to announce the long awaited release of the M.I.S.T.E.R.S Lobokeshi! Created for horror blog Cinema Insomnia, and based around it’s host, the glasses wearing, mustachioed Mr Lobo, the series consists of 8 different figures, each kit-bashed from different classic 80′s toy lines including both M.U.S.C.L.E and M.I.M.P. Joining the variety of new figures that have been hitting the Killer Bootlegs store over the past month, owner Peter Goral has gone back to his very first bootleg “Shifty Megatron, with the release of a special one-off edition! Originally created for the Molded Heroes art show a few years back, the kit-bashed action figure has been re-cast in a glittery red resin, featuring a custom screen printed card back from Saturated Threads, that’s been matted and framed ready to hang on your wall! MAN-E-NEWS// The Treegarr resin action figure from Bigmantoys…

“Born from the blood of centuries of sacrifice in a far off desolate wasteland, ‘Treegarr’, known also in ancient tongues as ‘Treevil’, needs blood to remain animated. If starved, he must lay root and remain dormant until blood spilt by evil allows him to awake again… Although Treegarr is only one entity, and one evil mind, there are many stories of him from across this universe and others. Farmers, knights, barbarians, and lesser monsters all have folk tales of this being. Here then, is his true form…”

The wait is finally over… Our good friend Lee over at Bigmantoys is proud to reveal that the highly anticipated Treegarr will be up for grabs tomorrow! Created as an extension to the MOTU universe, the incredible 5.5″ action figure features an insane amount of detail, paying homage to the awesome vintage Fright Zone tree playset from the original 80′s MOTU toy line. Coming with articulation in both arms, the hand cast resin figures have been limited to just 10 pieces in the OG brown/bark colourway, each coming bagged with header art from the legendary John Santagada. MAN-E-NEWS// “…Of All Ages II” from Scott Wilkowski x DKE Toys…

Following the exclusive “Flatwoods Revisited” release at Giant Robot’s Biennale 3 last month, Scott Wilkowski teams up with DKE Toys once again for the latest batch of infected resins, “…Of All Ages II”. Featuring the long awaited arrival of Ron English’s Mousemask Murphey in Scott’s unmistakable skeletal style, the figure has been cast in both clear black and red resins. Limited to 50 pieces (25 of each), each infected critter comes with a special black Japanese vinyl airplane by ZacPac. Touching down at the DKE Toys Designer Con booth (#124) next month (11am), Infected Mousemask Murphey will set you back a cool $250… On top of the standard release, DCon will also see the return of the Infected Labbit, although this time around the figure is going to be a little different… because for the first time ever, Scott will be releasing the beautiful skeleton sculpt sans-clear cast shell! Once again limited to 50 pieces, the “Labbit Skeleton” will be available from the booth at 2pm for just $50 each.

Whilst we feverishly wait for the arrival of the original Keikotrooper here at Man-E-Towers (any day now!), Fool’s Paradise have gone and done it again with the reveal of yet another wallet sapping must-have resin… the Darkside Keiko! The perfect companion to Keiko’s recent Star Wars inspired incarnation, the Sith Lord variant is due for pre-order late November with delivery estimated for early next year- Kind of leaves us wishing we had ordered 2 Troopers to display either side! MAN-E-NEWS// The Galaxxor x Onell Designs crossover…

Ok, a little late on this one guys (2 weeks to be precise!), but as you can see from the shot above, it’d be a crime to overlook such an amazing piece of work… A collaboration between Galaxxor‘s Ben Spencer and Onell Design‘s Matt Doughty, the breathtaking figure is the latest in a long line of Monster Hunter Robos- this time around featuring an exclusive Glyos inspired head! Hand cast in resin by Marty “The Godbeast” Hansen and hand painted by Doughty, the classically styled 5.5″ action figure was limited to just 5 pieces, dropping at the Onell Design booth at NYCC last week. No news as to whether the piece will be making a reappearance anytime soon (that head sculpt is way too good to be limited to just 5!), but you can be sure that if we find anything out, you’ll be the first to know!

Originally previewed just last Friday, Richard Page reveals the limited edition first run of UME Toys‘ latest addition, the adorable Pepper Popcorn! Created exclusively for Big Kev’s Geek Stuff‘s soon-to-be-opened online store, the 8cm tall figure has been meticulously painted in a stripy blue and white design, coming complete with removable popcorn hair! MAN-E-NEWS// Plaseebo’s Eyezon Tank for the 5th Anniversary Eyezon show…

Bob Conge aka Plaseebo kindly shares details of his piece for the upcoming 5th Anniversary Eyezon show at Double Punch, the jaw-dropping Eyezon Tank! Once again infusing both resin and vinyl mediums, the awesome piece features the beloved Eyezon sat inside Plaseebo’s hand-cast tank design, coming complete with cut out glass eyes and a colour changing LED unit that illuminates them in the dark! Finished in a tight selection of metallic Monster Kolor sprays, the signed and numbered piece will be sitting alongside a whole host of customs from kaiju’s finest come the show’s opening on November 3rd… Head over to the Double Punch site here for more info.

MAN-E-NEWS// The 3 Piece Rawk resin figure from Rawk Toys…

Hot off the heels of Lab Assistant Steve, The Eyeball Snatcher, and the announcement of Rawktober last week (find out more here), the guys over at Rawk Toys are proud to present their latest project… the 3 Piece Rawk! Due to be released as 3 separate figures over the next few weeks, the modular hand cast resin toys are comprised of an interchangeable head, body and legs. Just in time for Halloween, the first figure in the series will be coming in the form of Skylr’s super-creepy Zombie, coming complete with exposed brains, bursting intestines and dragging foot! To be followed quickly by 3 Eyes the Dragon and an as yet unidentified tarantula inspired figure, be sure to stay locked on the Rawk Toys store later this week for the release of Zombie… Expect more info on the series soon!

MAN-E-NEWS// NYCC leftovers plu new works from UME Toys…

Whilst it has only been little over 3 days since Rich of UME Toys made his journey back across the pond from last weekend’s NYCC, the toy machine has been hard at work at not one, but THREE new projects- two of which are already primed to hit the store in the next few days! Here’s a quick rundown of what the relentless artist will be delivering soon…

Franken DeeDee// Following the huge success of the Zombie DeeDees over the weekend, Rich has been hard at work prepping another trio of halloween inspired customs in the form of the ever-so-cute Franken DeeDees! Painted in the iconic green and black of Frankenstein’s monster, and ingeniously finished with weathered bolts jutting out of the sides, the little guys will be making their way to the UME store at 9am on Monday, October 22nd for an undisclosed price…

UME Groper// Whilst over at NYCC, Rich was lucky enough to meet the lovely Triplikid- bagging one of his awesome pre-release Gropers in the process! As you can see, he wasted no time in getting to work on the awesome resin, painting the Critters inspired beast in the signature UME mix of vivid pink and blue. No news as to whether this guy will ever be available to purchase, so be sure to stay locked on the UME blog for further updates…

Pepper Popcorn// Last but by no means least, Rich is proud to introduce yet another must-have addition to the UME family, the adorable Pepper Popcorn! Standing at around the same height as DeeDee (around 2.5″), the stunning little figure even comes with removable corn hair! No news on how these will be painted up, the price, or even a solid release date, so expect an update soon…

On top of the slew of new releases mentioned above, Rich has also put up the various NYCC leftovers in the store for all of those that couldn’t make the event. Be sure to head over there quick though, stock doesn’t seem to be lasting long!

MAN-E-NEWS// The Creeps resin bootleg figures from Jesse Narens…

Whilst it was sad to hear that Jesse Narens aka Ghost&Flower would be retiring the hugely popular Stegoforest resin a few months back, we’ve been sitting tight to see what the talented artist would come up with next… wel the wait is finally over, as Jesse proudly introduces his first bootleg action figure series, The Creeps! Designed, kit-bashed and sculpted by the man himself, production duties have been handed over to Bobby Beast creator I Am The Fourth. Coming in a variety of different one-off paint schemes including the leather jacket wearing thugs pictured, The Creeps will be limited to just 13 pieces with a price tag of $66.66 (inc. US shipping)… Heading to the Jesse Narens store this halloween (October 31st) at Noon PST, expect each signed and numbered Creep to come packed with a very special Trick-Or-Treat goodie bag. MAN-E-NEWS// The Challie mini figures from MXD x Muscle Things…

Soupie over at Minifigures XD has teamed up with Muscle Things for the production of his very first toy release, the cheeky Challie! Digitally sculpted by Soupie a few months back and realised by the guys over at Shapeways (pictured top right), the 3D print has made it’s way over to Muscle Things’ Alec for casting in his special mix of “black magic” rubber… With the first two making their way over to Soupie as we speak (the pictured neon yellow and clear blue), we’re guessing the first official batch will be up for grabs in the Muscle Things store at some point next week. Soupie has stated that this will be the first of many figures under the MXD banner, so stay tuned for further updates soon!

Josh “F Plus” Pearce is proud to reveal the latest incarnation of his popular Fiend character, the gorgeous “Autumnal” edition… Standing at just 2.5″ tall, the adorable little critter has been hand sculpt and cast in resin by Josh (check out that maine of leaves!), coming meticulously painted in a mixture of fall inspired brown washes, burnt yellows and subtle orange fades.  Limited to just 13 pieces this time around, the Autumnal Fiends are available through the F Plus store now for just $45 a piece…

With Halloween just around the corner, Jeff Beck over at Menace Inc Studios has announced a very special return of “The Rise of the Samhain”figure… with the introduction of the “7 Days of Halloween” resin release! Starting Thursday, October 25th, and running right through until October 31st, Jeff will be dropping a single one-of-a-kind Samhain in the Menace Inc store at 1pm EST each and everyday. Priced at just $20 each plus shipping, Jeff has stated he won’t be revealing any of the designs until they go up in the store… so your guess is as good as ours as to what surprises await! As promised last week, we bring you yet another sweet looking resin from the DuBose A&D camp, this time in the form of the super-freaky WTF! Chickens… Featuring a creeped-out mix of chicken claws and bulbous skulls, the terrifying minis have been hand sculpt and cast by DuBose A&D’s Jonathan in a variety of one-off colourways including opaques, clears, marbles and even a few glow-in-the-dark!
