Created for the recent Toy Art Gallery 2012 Anniversary Show, Swiss kaiju artist WaoToyz is proud to present the first 2 painted editions of the newly released Forest Monsta, “Clear Pink” and “Creamy Blue”! Cast in a soft japanese vinyl by Lulubell Toys, the 6″ tall beast comes with 4 points of articulation (head, arms and leg), plus a sweet pair of skull hands… which can be removed and attached to the legs as feet! Now available online alongside a whole host of other paintings, customs and limited runs from the show, both “Clear Pink” and “Creamy Blue” Forest Monstas are available for just $75 each plus shipping…

MAN-E-NEWS// Spinning Head Sunshine x Spinshine from Brown Noize Productions x Muscle Things…

Following our look at the 3D printouts last month (find out more here), Alec over at Muscle Things has just posted the very first test shot of Brown Noize Production’s highly anticipated Spinning Head Sunshine x Spinshine M.U.S.C.L.E custom! Although not an official reveal (the above shot was taken from the Muscle Things banner), it’s great to see that production is pushing on full steam ahead… As always, Alec’s casting is super-tight, with great definition on the hundreds of cubes, plus a nice tight fit between both Spinning Head Sunshine and Spinshine figures. No news as of yet as to when the 2 piece set will be made available, but we’re guessing your best bet is to stay locked on both the Muscle Things and Little Rubber Guys forums for any further developments… Anyone interested in finding out the background behind this truly awesome figure should check out our previous posts right here.

Up and coming artist Leucotomy is proud to present his first collaboration with the mighty Splurrt and Paul Bas… the “Texas Chainsaw Massacre” Cadaver Kids! Limited to just 13 pieces (half of which have already sold in New York), the awesome customs have been hand painted by Bas, each come with a super-creepy mop of hair, blood stained apron, hatchet accessory, plus hand finished screen print and header from Leucotomy! Kaiju custom wizard Topheroy kindly shares details of his latest collaboration with Hellgnome, the Ocu-Lar Beings! Featuring a huge selection of Hellgnome’s latest resin figures including the new Intergalactic Zombie design, Topheroy has given them a full Monster Kolor workout in his trademark mix of metallics and tight black detailing. With NYCC 2012 just around the corner, Ben Spencer of Galaxxor fame has been putting the final touches to his exclusive figure for the event… the “Infernicus” Cyborg Space Barbarian! Featuring the signature horned CSB head sculpted by Ben and prototyped/produced by Marty “The Godbeast” Hansen, the vintage MOTU figure custom has been painted in an eye catching red, black and yellow colour scheme. One of our favourite designs from the series yet, the extra paint rub around the belt and wrist guards, as well as the addition of a scar across the left eye really help to make the piece pop… No news as to pricing or availability at the moment, so be sure to keep track of the Galaxxor blog here for more details soon.

Following the first official production reveal of Warlords of Wor‘s “Bog-Nar” last week (find out more here), ManOrMonster? Studios are proud to announce that the incredible action figure will finally be available to pre-order today! Coming with a staggering tally of 11 separate interchangeable parts (plus accessories), the hand cast and painted MOTU styled figure will be limited to just 30 pieces this time around, with another batch of 70 planned for late October… Joining 29 standard painted figures, one lucky collector will be getting there hands on an as-yet-unrevealed chase figure- ManOrMonster? are keeping the figure close to their chest, but word on the street suggests flocking and possibly red resin are on the menu! MAN-E-NEWS// New customs from Plaseebo for the Phillips Gallery…

Ahead of the opening of his latest exhibition at the Phillips Gallery this weekend, Bob Conge aka Plaseebo kindly shares with us a trio of customs that will be sitting alongside the various new prints and toys on show. First up we have the “Zombie Night Gamer”… one of our favourite takes on the wonderfully strange NG sofubi yet, featuring an exposed, LED lit brain and “belly bag” filled with slime and glow in the dark guts! The “Skulloctopus Slug” also makes a reappearance after it’s debut at the Netherlands Monster Jam, coming with a new larger body and arm sculpts that have been rotocast in a translucent resin. Finished off in a variety of neon Monster Kolor sprays, Skulloctopus once again comes with an embedded LED unit in the base. Last but by no means least, the “Alien Nightgamer” is the latest kaiju mash-up from the artist. Grafting the Night Gamer’s head onto an undisclosed lower body, the ingenious design also features LED’s lighting the figure in a stunning neon pink… Recent Works is due to open tomorrow at the Phillips Gallery, NY, running right through until October 20th. Riding high off the sell-out success of her debut resin figure, the Monster Embryo “Blue”, Penny Taylor of Taylored Curiosities wastes no time in revealing the next colourway, the sumptuous “Apple Green”… As with the initial release, the adorable little creatures have been hand cast by Penny, coming complete with hand painted eyes and custom made umbilical cords. Limited to 20 pieces this time around, the 1.2” tall Monster Embryos are available from the Taylored Curiosities store now for just £10 plus shipping… Anyone looking grab one is going to have to act fast… the last batch sold out in a matter of hours!

MAN-E-NEWS// The Cannibal Collection from Skinner x Frenzy Bros…

Joining the latest Ultrus Bog release posted earlier today, the mighty Skinner has yet another awesome collab up his sleeve in the form of the Frenzy Bros’ Cannibal Collection! Featuring both Sirius and Absolute versions of Frenzy’s popular barbarian sofubi, Skinner has meticulously sprayed the figures in a variety of neon and black Monster Kolors, finishing the pair off with hand brushed thunder bolts, blood splatters and custom-made severed limb necklaces… Pricing is unfortunately still forthcoming, but Skinner has stated that the cannibal barbarians will be hitting his store at some point later today (September 20th)…

Everybody knows you’re inbred anyways. There’s a certain translucency to skin, that you just cant hide my friend. All the little blue vein and arteries are kind of ruining your chances of getting laid frankly. Don’t be ashamed of your father, for he is not ashamed of you and your little blue veins you try to hide. Congratulations…you have a cannibal dad.

The Cannibal Phantom (right)- It’s a bad guy…the worst…the worst bad guy. You know the story about how if Bill Gates drops a thousand dollars on the ground, that it wouldn’t be worth his time to pick it up? Well that’s how The Cannibal Phantom is about evil. He doesn’t even have time to rape you…frankly that’s old hat to him. Who has time for that type of behavior anyway? This guy doesn’t! (points to Phantom Cannibal). Don’t you want a bad guy around to kill the good guys?

MAN-E-NEWS// BABY (Huey) HELL from L’amour Supreme x myplasticheart…

L’amour Supreme is proud to present the long awaited first painted run of his latest sofubi, BABY (Huey) Hell! To be released exclusively through myplasticheart this Saturday (September 22nd), the bat/keep watch cross has been cast in a hot pink vinyl, coming hand sprayed by L’amour himself in a mixture of blue, white and silver metallic sprays. Limited to just 9 pieces (plus 2 blind bagged unpainted mixed part sets), each Baby Huey will also come with the stunning 11″x 17″ art print pictured below. No news on an exact time or price, so your best bet is to keep hitting F5 on the mph site throughout Saturday to be in with a chance of scoring one of these little beauties!

Lulubell Toys are proud to reveal the fifth version of Skinner’s Ultrus Bog, the Black Earth Scalded Magma Soul edition!  Coming from the amazing mind of self-taught California artist Skinner, sculpted in Japan by the master Siccaluna, and produced by Lulubell Toys in Japan,  the “Black Earth Scalded Magma Soul” version is the the first in what will be an ongoing series of painted runs designed to produce an immense energy of awesomeness when displayed together! Coming hand painted in a firey selection of black, yellow and red sprays, “BESMS” Ultrus Bog will be touching down in the Lulubell Toys store on October 1st (1pm Pacific Time) for just $85 plus shipping…

MAN-E-NEWS// New WIP sculpts from Plaseebo…

Spotted over at KaijuMonster yesterday, Bob Conge aka Plaseebo has revealed a couple of new work-in-progress sculpts ahead of his one man exhibition this weekend… Pictured top, the Great White Gunkanjima Kaiju MFker has got to be one of our favourite designs from the artist yet, with the shark bust proving a perfect match for Conge’s super-creepy textured style (check out those bite marks!). No news as to whether the piece will come stand-alone or with a body of sorts, but what we do know is that it’ll come cast in resin… here’s hoping it makes it’s debut at the Philips Gallery this Saturday! Joining the Great White, Conge has also revealed another of the head sculpts that is due to feature in the Misfits series at some point next year. Taking cue from Motorbot’s signature style, the stunning design features similar exaggerated teeth and sinister doll’s eyes to devastating effect. As with the Great White, details on the release are forthcoming, so be sure to stay tuned over the coming weeks for any further developments…

With just a few weeks until NYCC 2012, Brian Mahony of Guumon Vinyl Labs has been busy putting the final touches to another insane batch of one-off Diagomi kaijus! Cast in a selection of different soft vinyls including blue, red and glow-in-the-dark, each figure has been hand sprayed and rubbed in a variety of vivid Monster Kolor sprays. Originally debuting at STGCC 2012, the Beast Brothers have revealed that a super limited supply of their latest Calaverita Roja skull will be touching down in their store later today! Making the transition from resin and fibreglass to Japanese vinyl, the red sofubi skull is the first of of an entire line of soft vinyl toys that the pair will be releasing next year. To all of you out there that have unfortunately missed out on the “Infected” works of Scott Wilkowski over the past year, your luck could be changing soon… as Giant Robot have revealed the first figure in the series to get a general release, Flatwoods Revisited Red! Created to coincide with  the Giant Robot Biennale 3: Remix Project, David Horvath’s Flatwood monster has been meticulously recast in a clear red resin, featuring the signature skeleton design incased inside that has made Wilkowski’s recent work such a joy to behold… Limited to just 30 pieces (including one which will be exhibited at the show), Flatwoods Revisited Red is set to drop on the Giant Robot store on Friday at 1pm Pacific time, priced at just $150 plus shipping.
