Due to come in a number of small painted runs including both Glitter Tops (pink and blue) and Citrus, Richard Page has also prepared a variety of one-off specials such as the OG, Noir and our favourite, Dee-Dee Goldenspoon! In celebration of his new blog and shop, plus the release of the Universe of Violence Set A this week, Eric Nilla proudly presents the first in a long line of monthly contests… Up for grabs is a stunning one-off rubber casting of Eric’s featured Eyeklops mini figure, coming in a beautiful two-tone mix of neon red/orange and semi-translucent slime green! All you have to do to enter is head over to Eric’s blog and leave a comment in the relevant post here. The deadline has been set at August 1st, so be sure to head over quick to be in with a chance. We previously posted work in progress shots of Jason Freeny‘s dissected Sucklord figure a few weeks back… well today we can reveal that it will be featuring alongside a whole host of other artist contributions for the first Suckadelic group show, The Super Suck UP! Working alongside DKE Toys, The Sucklord has enlisted the talents of 16 artists; Billions McMillions, Buff Monster, DrilOne, Doktor A., Ferg, Frank Kozik, Jason Freeny, L’Amour Supreme,Luke Chueh, Matt Doughty/Onell Design, October Toys, Paulkaiju, Scott Tolleson, Scott Wilkowski, Skinner, and of course The Sucklord himself, to produce a series of 50 custom Sucklord figures each. We’re guessing from Freeny’s entry that these will be a mixture of re-cast pieces alongside mash-ups and straight up painted customs, but only time will tell… Due to premier at this year’s DesignerCon (Saturday, November 3, 2012), people unable to attend the event will be offered a “special” way to purchase closer to the event. MAN-E-NEWS// Ironmask’s Horsemen inspired mini figure for Universe of Violence Series 2…
With the Universe of Violence‘s Set A of Series 1 going on sale (and quickly selling out!) just yesterday, we were surprised to find that Ironmask has already finished the first figure from the second wave! Easily one of our favourite sculpts from the highly talented artist yet, the stunning 1.5″ tall figure takes inspiration from the Horsemen, featuring a M.U.S.C.L.E style wrestler with a monster clawing it’s way out of his back! No news as to when the second wave will be coming (we’re still waiting for the first series’ Set B!), so be sure to stay locked on the Ironhaus Productions blog for further developments…

Originally making an appearance as Gusto’s sidekick for the recent SDCC exclusive “Unicorn Blood” release (find out more here), Blurble has created another batch of the adorable Toofless for all those who missed out… Limited to just 4 hand cast resin pieces, the little guys stand at just 1.25″ tall, each coming cast in a different one-off UV reactive tint and featuring uniquely coloured eye inserts. Priced at an unbelievable $4 each plus shipping, Toofless can be found on the Toxic Vinyl store alongside a whole host of other awesome kaiju customs (including the recently revealed Sea Monkey of Death!) right now…
MAN-E-NEWS// The Triple Crown Monster debut painted release…
Hot off the heals of the debut “Blue” colourway at SDCC earlier this month (find out more here), “The Triple Crown of YoYo” team have just unveiled the debut painted edition of the Triple Crown Monster! Coming cast in a gorgeous soft orange vinyl with pink, black, gold and white sprays, the figure was designed by Chris Ryniak, sculpted by Shinbone Creative, and produced for the Triple Crown by Squibbles Ink + Rotofugi. Limited to just 50 pieces, and with a price tag of $100 each, the Triple Crown Monster will be made available at the YoYoExpert table at this Friday’s contest, with a few pieces set aside for the World YoYo Contest in Orlando, Florida on August 2nd, 3rd, and 4th… Stay tuned for more news on the figure’s general release soon.

As if the recently announced X-Ray Gummis weren’t enough (find out more here), “dissection master” Jason Freeny is proud to reveal yet another long awaited project now coming to fruition, the CAPSL designer “pill” fob keychains! Working alongside Jailbreak Collective’s FCTRY division, Freeny has produced a series of 12 original designs plus chases ranging from sweet (Flower Bomb) to zany (Frog Squid), that can be taken apart to either store small objects, or interchanged with other designs (FCTRY has stated there are well over 100 combinations!). Available from the official CAPSLs site now, the full series can be purchased for just $99 plus shipping (including a free limited edition Medicine Man figure), or individually for $7.99. FCTRY have promised several other new designs over the next few weeks, so be sure to stay tuned for more news as soon as it hits…

We’ve featured the amazing work of sculptor and caster Eric Nilla numerous times here at Man-E-Toys (check out our various posts here), but with most of his releases being limited to the dedicated mini figure forums, a lot of potential new fans have missed out… Well that ends today, as later on tonight Eric will be officially opening his brand spanking new store! Set to feature a massive selection of customs and original figures, the list so far includes an exclusive red Critter, the Gorewad Monsters, Universe of Violence Set A, SD Splatterhouse Rick, various NillaxNiku customs, plus our recently featured GPK Cheap Toys! Following the release of both Hot Pink and Midnight Black editions a few weeks back, Alec over at Muscle Things is proud to reveal the latest incarnation of Mini Sunshine… this time in clear! Customised from the original pyramid shaped Sunshine M.U.S.C.L.E robot, Alec has once again cast the figure in his signature “Black Magic” rubber, resulting in one of the clearest flexible mini figures we’ve ever seen! No news as of yet with regards to a release date, but we’re guessing Mini Sunshine “clear” will be joining Mr T, Rick Flair and BabyZilla in the Muscle Things store at some point at the beginning of next month…

Created for the upcoming “The Toy As Art” show, Bob Conge aka Plaseebo kindly shares with us his latest custom piece, The Son of SUM! Kit-bashed and sculpted from various found objects, the beautiful one-off figure has been cast in resin, coming complete with vivid Monster Kolor sprays. Due to feature alongside works from the likes of Bryan Collins, Todd Robertson and Jason Martinez, The Son of SUM will be available to purchase at the show’s opening tomorrow (Thursday, July 26th). Toy Art Gallery has just announced that they’ve teamed up with the mighty BLObPUS once again for the release of the “Gori Gori” sofubi! Due to be sold blind-bagged, the absolutely gorgeous 5″ tall figure has been cast in both GID and black soft vinyl, featuring BLObPUS’ usual mix of tight metallic sprays and brush work. MAN-E-NEWS// The custom Worryknot from Hoakser x The Projects…

UK graffiti artist Hoakser has teamed up with urban art/clothing company The Projects for the release of the very first Worryknot custom! Originally created by Stu Witter and Jon Burgerman back in 2007, the resin cast desktop sculpture was released last month in a limited edition of 10 DIY, with The Projects managing to secure 2 (details on the second to follow soon!)… Painted in Hoakser’s signature beaten up and weathered style, the stunning piece has been adorned with various throw-ups and tags featuring the names of the piece’s creators, and of course Hoakser himself. Coming with a head sculpted by Spencer and cast by Marty “Godbeast” Hansen, the figure features the body of a disused vintage MOTU figure, finished in a stunning black glitter paint job, furry colar and bejeweled chest (the fur pelt of Fenros the slain Ice Gnoll Warlord and the enchanted jewel of Ragnor!). Previewed here last week as a work in progress, Motorbot has wasted no time in casting his first batch of the newly titled “Scowl” resin figures! Due to come in a variety of glitter infused clear tints with hand painted detailing, our bet is on Motorbot sticking to the tried and tested format of creating various one-offs rather than sticking to any specific colourways… No news as of yet with regards to pricing or a release date, so be sure to keep an eye on the Motorbot twitter feed for further updates. As for the Slime Owl we mentioned last week, this guy is due to become Motorbot’s first ever vinyl release… expect more info soon!

Spotted over at Hypebeast earlier today comes the latest Toy Tokyo exclusive of Ron English‘s “McSupersize Me” sofubi, the Black edition! Cast by Secret Base in a soft black vinyl with white, red and black detailing, the figure is available through Zozotown now for just 7,140yen. Whilst not as striking as last year’s X-Ray release, the sleek black finish is sure to win the hearts of most fans of the character… No news on edition size, so your best bet is to head over to the store as soon as possible before supplies run out.

In celebration of 5 whole years making full production Glyos figures, Matt Doughty has revealed details of a very special drop coming to the Glyos store this Friday (9.30pm EDT), including the return of the Task Force Volkriun! Coming in a new olive green “Volkriun Commando” edition, every one of the original PVC moulds have returned to action- which can meaning only one thing… the mighty Gobon is back (and in both colourways)! Even with a whole host of other mini figure projects on the go, master caster Eric Nilla has managed to find time to squeeze in the second addition to his on-going custom “Gumball” Battle Beasts series, the Killer Carp! Taking the hard plastic originals of the western Battle Beasts we all know and love, Eric has been re-casting the mini figures in a flexible rubber to resemble the original capsule (Gashapon) line from the early 80’s known as Gumball Battle Beasts… Unfortunately it appears that Killer Carp has already sold out, so to be in with a chance of grabbing the next in the series, Triple Threat Snake, be sure to keep track of the dedicated Little Rubber Guys thread for further developments…

Following an excellent turnout of custom sofubis and painted runs at SDCC last week (a few of which are still available on the Dragatomi store here), Jon Malmstedt over at Rampage Toys is putting the finishing touches to his latest batch of toys for this Sunday’s Wonder Festival Summer 2012. Joining an orange painted run of Cyclops Dinos and Manotaurs, Jon has teamed up with Grumble Toys for his very first run of both Wormrah and Lilth customs… Tackled with the usual Rampage flare, Wormrah comes cast in a light blue vinyl with metallic purple and silver sprays, whilst Lilth has been given the familiar rainbow sprays last seen in Jon’s SDCC UU release. Limited to an edition of just 24, Double Haunt have also prepared a black chase which has been limited to just one of each design.
