MAN-E-NEWS// “Moon Mouse” Moon Wanderer resin figure from Sergey Safonov…

“Moon Mice are mysterious sleeping floating creatures met by Gooma on his way to deep north. They float with the moon light and exist only in the night part of the world…”

Resin artist Sergey Safonov is proud to present the fourth member of the Moon Wanderers fleet, the sea fairing “Moon Mouse”. Joining Moon Fox, Moon Cat and Kluth, the beautifully minimal design has been sculpt in conjunction with Crazylabel’s R&D, with casting and painting by Sergey himself. We previously revealed that Nama-Niku‘s awesome “Manzilla” M.U.S.C.L.E custom would be making a return courtesy of the casting skills of Eric Nilla (find out more here)… well today we bring you pics of the little guys in all their multi-coloured glory- bagged, headed and ready to join your collection now! MAN-E-NEWS// The SDCC “Blue” Triple Crown Monster vinyl figure…

Created for the upcoming Triple Crown of YoYo event (find out more here), the Tripple Crown Monster will be making its debut this week… and whilst we have to wait until the end of the month to get a glimpse of the first painted editions, the blue vinyl SDCC exclusive will surely suffice until then! Designed by Chris Ryniak and sculpted by Shinbone Creative, the jaw-dropping 7″x7″ monstrosity will be available in limited quantities from the Squibbles Ink/Rotofugi booth (#4736) for just $85. Jess Rollar over at Milky Robot kindly shares with us details of her latest resin figure, the adorable Ick! Unfortunately passing under our radar a couple of weeks back, the debut pink and neon green colourways went on to sell out within a matter of minutes… Well, the good news is that Jess is not the kind of person to rest on her laurels- the Arizona based artist already has another 3 variants ready for imminent release! Featuring a smoother re-moulded design, the hand cast and painted figures come in either Zombie (edition of 2), Sick or Yeti editions, limited to just 10 pieces in total. Due to go on sale for an estimated price of $40 plus shipping, expect to see the loveable creatures on the Milky Robot store today at 12pm Arizona Time…

MAN-E-NEWS// SDCC exclusive Mega Junktion from Le Merde’s Misty Fog Toys…

It appears that Le Merde’s Misty Fog Toys will be making their first appearance at SDCC this year, with the reveal of a very special batch of Mega Fuktions! Previously released (and instantly selling out) in painted GID form a few weeks back, the latest edition is set to feature unpainted mixed colour parts, coming complete with both new and original head sculpts (unfortunately the OG’s light saber and ray gun appear to be not included). Joining Gargamel, Grass Hut and Mitari at booth #4739, be sure to make these guys a priority if you’re interested in bagging one… competition will be fierce!

MAN-E-NEWS// Custom Daigomis for the Nederland MonsterJam…

With the Nederland MonsterJam just around the corner, show creator Brian Mahony aka Guumon, has started revealing a few of the pieces that are set to feature… the first coming in the form of these breathtaking Daigomi customs! A joint piece by Will Long and Todd Robertson, the guy on the left has been split down the middle, with Todd spraying his side in a mixture of aqua tones to represent the ocean, whilst Will has gone with the flaming palette of yellows, oranges and reds of the desert. Finished with a contrasting matt/gloss finish, this has got to be one of the strongest Daigomi customs we’ve seen so far… Created by D-LUX, the second offering comes cast in GID vinyl, with a mixture of pink sprays and a black rub similar to Guumon’s recent “Bone Glow” Daigomis. Yet another stunning entry, the pair of them make us wonder what else Mahoney has in store! MAN-E-NEWS// UME Toys’ “Halloween in July” event update…

With just 5 days to go until UME Toys‘ “Halloween in July” event kicks off, we thought we’d share a few shots of the various Belemey and Hugo Shortpants variants that will be on offer come Friday 13th… Joining the previously released “Twitter” edition (still up for grabs here), Belemey will also be available in the signature OG UME shades of red, mint and olive, whilst the beautiful “Red Head” edition comes in an airbrushed red-orange fade. Not to be outdone, Hugo has been revealed in 3 different colourways so far; a standard orange, brown and blue edition, a sleek black and grey “Noir”, and our favourite, the orange flocked “Cheeky Flocker” edition… Stay tuned for a full reveal in the week, and be sure to get entered into the previously mentioned competition (check it out here) before time runs out.

Joining both “Frostbite” Molezilla and “Blue Moon” Warui Inu, Bob Conge aka Plaseebo has revealed to us that he will be unveiling yet another piece at next week’s SDCC, the exclusive Dragatomi Night Gamer! Cast in a glow-in-the-dark vinyl, the figure has been hand painted by Plaseebo in a mixture of black and orange Monster Kolor. Replete with red glass eye inserts and the now standard internal motion  activated color changing LED light unit, this edition has been limited to just 5 pieces with a price tag of $250. MAN-E-NEWS// The Cephaloblood Ammonaitos from Topheroy x Mechavirus…

After the sell-out success of the original Topheroy x Mechavirus Ammonaitos (find out more here), the guys have set about working on another batch, aptly titled the Cephaloblood edition! Once again limited to just 4 pieces, the beautiful creatures have been sculpt and cast in resin by Todd (Mechavirus), whilst painting duties have been handed to Topheroy. Coming in a deep metallic crimson with an oily pearlescent shell, the main attraction with these guys has got to be the faces on the rear… the subtle grey highlights, black lowlights and hi-gloss finish really help make these pieces pop! MAN-E-NEWS// The RealxHead x Skull Toys Dokurocks Men vinyl figures…

Spotted over at Toybot Studios comes one of the biggest collaborations in the history of kaiju, the RealxHead x Skull Toys Dokurocks Men! Pictured here in the purple/silver/black “Walder” colourway, the stunning 3-way head sculpt was taken care of by Skull Toys’ Mirock, whilst the skull infused Chaosman-style body is RealxHead’s work. Produced by the guys over at Fig-Lab (for this edition at least), expect more news on pricing and availability for this breathtaking piece soon…

MAN-E-NEWS// New “Nibbler” teasers from The Tarantulas…

Joining the teaser we posted a couple of weeks back (pictured bottom right), The Tarantulas has revealed another two images from their forthcoming Nibblers collaboration with Fig-Lab. Unfortunately, we still have no hard details on the project, but from what we can glean from the photo’s tags, this is likely to be some sort of “artist series”, either featuring a selection of one-off customs or limited runs… With a penciled drop date of sometime in July, expect more news on this intriguing release soon.

It appears that 2 of the resin scene’s finest, David Healey and the Sucklord have been working on a very special Healeymade x Suckadelic release for next week’s SDCC! No news as to whether these guys will feature in the same show as the Jason Freeny work-in-progress we featured yeasterday (here), but from the looks of things, the stunning marbled resins are for a separate exclusive run of the latest Gay Empire figure. MAN-E-NEWS// The Monster Worship SDCC exclusives…

Teaming up with Dragatomi for this year’s SDCC, Monster Worship have revealed a huge selection of new colourways and editions for their full range of sofubi, plus the long awaited debut of Johnny Ryan’s latest monstrosity… Rottweiler Herpes! Available at the Dragatomi booth (#4935) for just 2 hours on Friday, July 13th between 11am-11pm, Monster Worship will be announcing a ticket system for purchasing on their site soon. Anything left over will be heading to the MW store on Tuesday, July 17 at 6pm EST. Here’s a quick rundown of what will be on offer…

Altar Beast “Kluh” edition// The SDCC 2012 edition of Altar Beast has cast in green vinyl with purple, green, white, and grey accents. Stands approx. 6″ tall with one point of articulation, the Japanese made vinyl figure will be available alongside a limited number of Altar Beast one-offs for just $45.

Unpainted Black Cannibal Fuckface// Cast in a sleek black unpainted vinyl, Cannibal Fuckface stands at approx. 7.5″ tall, coming complete with “slorge” accessory. Created by artist Johnny Ryan and sculpted by Monster 5, this edition has been priced at $75… Pure soft vinyl violence!

TBA Greasebat// Not much can be said about the latest iteration of Jeff Lamm’s signature creation, as colourways are due to be released on the day. Standing at 7″ tall, the Chauskoskis sculpted beast will be available for $85… Stay tuned for a full reveal next week!

TBA Kusogon// As with Greasebat, Monster Worship are holding back details on beaK’s latest Kusogon until next Friday… To be joined by a selection of Kusogon hand paints, pricing and edition sizes are still to be revealed.

Rottweiler Herpes// Joining Cannibal Fuckface comes the latest creation from the warped mind of Johnny Ryan, Rottweiler Herpes! Coming in an SDCC exclusive OG colourway, RH stands approx. 8″ tall with 3 points of articulation. Sculpted by Monster5 and produced by Monster Worship, the figure is set to retail for $85 each…

MAN-E-NEWS// The Rivet Wars “Monowheel” test print from Ted Terranova…

After finalising the awesome Rivet Wars Monowheel design a couple of weeks back (find out more here), Ted Terranova proudly presents the very first test print! Picking up pretty much all of the detail from the original 3D sculpt, the print is due to be cleaned up soon with some minor tweaks before Ted begins the moulding and casting process. Expect more news on the figure, plus the recently revealed selection of new grunts soon. In the mean time, check out the amazing turnaround Ted created of the fully rendered Monowheel below…

MAN-E-NEWS// The Smoke Grey Ironheart resin figures from Blackgard…

“Ironheart is an armored figure shrouded in mist and shadow. He has recently been sighted around the perimeter of Castle Blackgard, although his purpose there is still unknown. Some say he is a Gardian of the Castle itself, while others have specuated that he is looking for a way inside.”

It looks like we won’t be waiting too much longer to get our grubby little mits on an Ironheart figure, as Tom over at Blackgard reveals a tantalising image of the new Smoke Grey edition straight out of the mould! Unfortunately, information on pricing and availability are still thin on the ground, so be sure to keep checking the Blackgard blog here for further developments. Unable to produce photos in time for his announcement, DKE Toys have left us wondering whether the aptly named Figment from Brendan Monroe is just that… a “figment” of our imagination! Sculpted and created by Brendan Monroe and produced by Luke Rook (Grody Shogun) in a high quality clear Japanese vinyl, the sitting 12″ tall figure is due to come in an SDCC exclusive edition of 100 pieces, with 50 in blue and another 50 in red. Priced at just $120 each, Figment will be available from the DKE Toys SDCC booth (#4728) starting Wednesday night…

Hot off the heals of last month’s Minty Fresh collaboration, resin artist Sergey Safonov has partnered with the Singapore based Flab Slab gallery for the release of his latest batch of Kluth Boats. Hand cast in resin and available in 2 different colourways (either Black Boat with Yellow-skulls or Yellow Boat with Black-skulls), the haunting set has been priced at just $65 plus shipping. No news on edition size (we’re guessing around 5 of each), so your best bet is to drop Flab Slab an e-mail at get.flabby@flabslab.com with any order requests and/or enquiries…

MAN-E-NEWS// The custom Ammonaitos from Adam Pratt x Mechavirus…

We’ve been dying to see more of Adam Pratt’s latest custom collaboration with Mechavirus since we posted work-in-progress shots last week, so it came with great pleasure this morning to find that the project is already nearing completion! Joining the beautiful fungus encrusted Ammonaito that we originally revealed, Adam has painted the other single in a hugely contrasting style, choosing an authentic copper finish with turquoise copper oxide weathering… Now interestingly, the third piece, which combines 2 Ammonaitos to create the skull shape seen bottom left, will be incorporating both styles into it’s finish… Currently still a work-in-progress, the beautiful objet d’art will come with a removable back plaque. No news on the exact pricing or release date on these guys as of yet, but we’re guessing they’ll be heading to the Mechavirus store sometime soon…
