MAN-E-NEWS// The “Critters” mini figure from Zectron…

First up today we bring you a project we’ve been dying to share since we first laid eyes on it last week… the “Critters” keshi-style mini from up and coming artist Zectron! Ranking as one of the hottest figures we’ve seen all year, the 1.5″ homage to one of our favourite 80’s creature flicks is made all the better by the fact that he’s Zectron’s FIRST EVER TOY! Taking almost a month to finish, it’s pretty easy to see where all of the hours have been spent- each strand of hair, scale, tooth and claw have been meticulously sculpt and refined to perfection… With production handed over to MAN-E-TOYS regular, Eric Nilla, the little fella has since been cast up in a batch of 15 keshi-style rubber figures (12 flesh, 3 green). Initially debuting as just a preview on the Little Rubber Guys forum last night, demand soon became so high that Zectron went on to sell them all within a couple of hours! Fortunately for the rest of us, he’s planning another couple of runs soon, including the possibility of a MAN-E-TOYS exclusive resin run from Bigman Toys! Head over to the newly opened Zectron blog for an in-depth look at the project… be sure to keep a close eye on this guy, from what we’ve seen of his latest work we can expect BIG things in the very near future!

MAN-E-NEWS// “On Your Desk” Instagram character from JC Rivera x Shinbone Creative…

Retitled as “On Your Desk” (possibly due to licensing problems), the above pic features the figure in raw unpainted form… Still no firm information on pricing or release dates, so be sure to keep checking the Shinbone Creative twitter feed for further updates…

MAN-E-NEWS// The custom Mecha Kappa from Todd Robertson…

Todd Robertson aka Mechavirus shares a pic of his latest private commission, the custom Mecha Kappa! Finished in a mixture of metallic red, blue and green Monster Kolor sprays, the creature’s stomach has been left unpainted… revealing Todd’s signature “mechanised guts” underneath! Unfortunately, this little guy has already made a home in one lucky person’s collection, so if you’re looking for a similar piece your best bet is to hit Todd up directly at mechavirus@gmail.com with any enquiries…

MAN-E-NEWS// “…Of All Ages” DKE SDCC exclusives from Scott Wilkowski…
