MAN-E-NEWS// The Grody Shogun Melt Monsters from Monsterarm…

Melt kaiju king Kevin Herdeman aka Monsterarm is proud to present his latest batch of crazy customs, the Grody Shogun x Melt Monster mash-ups! Limited to four one-off creations, the six armed “Hugs Not Drugs”, GrodySaurus Rex, and two Grody Pin-up Kewpies, the figures have been given the true Monsterarm treatment, featuring a mixture of melted flesh, neon sprays, sparkle and super-creepy eyes! With the two “melt” designs coming in a $50 a piece, and the Kewpies just $25, be sure to head over to the Monsterarm store soon to avoid disappointment. Check back over the coming weeks where we’ll be revealing yet another awesome DDLM Skull collaboration with Monsterarm… this time around with the mighty Blurble on paint duties!

MAN-E-NEWS// The “Rough and Tumble” custom Crawdad Kid from Daniel Yu…

Even with the stunning “Bra(v)ery” custom Bambaboss featuring here just yesterday, we couldn’t resist sharing with you yet another breathtaking project from Singapore based artist Daniel Yu, the Rough & Tumble Crawdad Kid! Based on Daniel’s winning (and in our opinion, best) OMFG! series 1 design, the figure has been expertly modified using a mixture of epoxy putty and acrylic paints… just check out the level of detail on the boxing gloves, truly astounding! Unfortunately, this guy was a one-off custom created for Singapore gallery Flab Slab, so if you’re interested in picking up a similar piece be sure to hit up Daniel through his blog here

MAN-E-NEWS// WIP “Big Hands” mini figure from Amerikaiju…

With the release of debut mini-figures H.A.C.K only last month (find out more here), Amerikaiju has wasted no time in revealing his latest figure, the ingenious Big Hands! Heralded as “the even more elusive cousin of Big Foot”, the clever sculpt puts all of the weight into the front of the character, resulting in his poor legs dangling in the air! Our favourite design to come from the artist yet, Amerikaiju has stated that Big Hands should be making an appearance “soon”, so be sure to check back regularly for updates on this awesome figure… Can’t wait to bag one of his creations? Then you’ll be glad to know that the first wave of “80’s Pink” H.A.C.K are still available in his store here.

Joining the debut of standard Mini 10-Doh! figures at this year’s SDCC, Squid Kids Ink have revealed a very special edition of Luke Chueh‘s Emo Bear cartridge coming in black! Limited to an edition of just 100 pieces, each Mini 10-Doh! has been signed, numbered and “murdered” (splattered with crimson paint!) by Luke himself. Coming packed in an authentic NES style plastic wallet, the figures will be available from the Squid Kids Ink booth (#5137) for just $20 a piece…

Based in the picturesque St Ives, Cornwall, Muju World are proud to present their latest hand crafted resin masterpieces, the Muju Ocean Guardians! Standing at an impressive 7″ tall, each of the five figures, Arctic, Pacific, Atlantic, Indian and Southern Ocean, have been sculpted by Miss Muju and hand painted by Mr Muju. Following our recent look at the work-in-progress BEVIL (find out more here), Paul Shih has revealed that the super-cute kaiju creature will be touching down in his store later this week! Set to come in a beautiful green fade OG colourway, with the first wave limited to just 15 hand cast and painted pieces. Priced at just $50 plus shipping , BEVIL will be dropping on the store this Friday (22nd June) at 1pm PST… with lucky buyers of the first batch also receiving an exclusive mini photo print! The first of many projects surrounding the newly created Bevil & St. Wiener, be sure to stay locked on Paul’s blog as more of the duo’s story is revealed… For now though, the below image gives us more than a little insight into the cute little fellow’s character…

MAN-E-NEWS// Hugo Shortpants OG from UME Toys…

Pictured here alongside Martin Longbottom comes the first look at Rich UME‘s Hugo in his OG colours! Acquiring a new surname, Hugo Shortpants has been painted in the signature UME mix of pink and blue, coupled with subtle weathering, and of course, a LOT of orange! Coming complete with fabric scarf, the adorable hand cast resin figure will be making his way to the UME store next month on Friday 13th. Expect more news on edition sizes and pricing to be revealed soon… including a look at an extra special orange flocked head variant!

MAN-E-NEWS// The Tarantulas x Fig-Lab NIBBLERS teaser…

Following the reveal of the upcoming Fig-Lab x The Tarantulas NIBBLERS release (find out more here), The Tarantulas released the above tentative image over the weekend. Featuring the eye indent similar to the standard Nibbler sofubi, the figure appears to be coming in an unorthodox (for The Tarantulas) mix of neon blue/pink sprays and glitter! Further news on the release is likely to be kept to a minimum on the lead up to the July slated drop, but you can be sure if anything else is let slip we’ll be on it right away…

MAN-E-NEWS// The “Biohazard Zombie” from Travis McIntosh…

Since Travis McIntosh aka Hungry Imp‘s massive resin drop back in January (the few remaining are still available to purchase here), news on the artist’s work has been scarce… that was until we caught wind of his latest mini figure, the “Biohazard Zombie”! Stepping up a gear from previous work, the detail in this figure is absolutely amazing… standing at just 2″ tall, Travis plans on casting the little guy soon, with both blank and painted variants in the works. Following the reveal of Todd Robertson aka Mechavirus‘ Creamsicle Ammonaitos yesterday (find out more here), we take a look at another batch that have just been completed… this time coming from the blessed airbrush of Topheroy! Limited to an edition of just four pieces, the drop-dead gorgeous resin figures have been masterfully sprayed in a mixture of vivid metallic Monster Kolor sprays, finished in Topheroy’s signature high gloss. MAN-E-NEWS// The custom Forrest Digglers from Rampage Toys…

Hot off the heals of his recent collaboration with Uamou, Jon Malmstedt has revealed that he will be dropping the latest batch of Rampage Toys x Splurrt customs as soon as next week! This time around featuring the recently released Forrest Diggler, Jon has set to work on a number of glow-in-the-dark casts, giving the stunning sofubi mini a much needed black rub… the shot above is still a work in progress, so you can guarantee that these guys will be finished with the painstaking brush work Jon’s famed for. No news on exact pricing or edition size ( although a conservative guess based on Jon’s recent studio pics would suggest 10), so be sure to stay tuned this week as we bring you more info as soon as it hits…

MAN-E-NEWS// The “Bra(v)ery” custom Bambaboss from Daniel Yu…

Daniel Yu aka Dory kindly shares with us his latest privately commissioned piece, the “Bra(v)ery” custom Bambaboss! Taking inspiration from V for Vendetta (hence the bracketed V), Daniel has really gone to town on the 5.5″ figure, sculpting three removable masks, various weapons and holsters, plus the huge plume of smoke jutting from the guy’s back! Expertly painted and weathered in a mixture of dirty brown and biege hues, the custom comes complete with meticulous rust weathering, realistic scratch detailing plus the words “Strength through unite- Unite through faith” scrawled along the left side of his chest. Anyone interested in taking a closer look at the piece will be glad to know that a pletora of hi-res images are available on the Dory Flickr now…

MAN-E-NEWS// The Ironheart resin figure from Blackgard…

“Ironheart is an armored figure shrouded in mist and shadow. He has recently been sighted around the perimeter of Castle Blackgard, although his purpose there is still unknown. Some say he is a Gardian of the Castle itself, while others have specuated that he is looking for a way inside.”

It appears that alongside the recently featured Monster Farm (find out more here), Blackgard have been hard at work on an another awesome resin, the fearful knight “Ironheart”! Making his debut alongside the Locomans, Krog and Blockman at last week’s Ottawa Comic Con, the stunning 3.5″ figure has been lovingly hand painted with a mixture of brush and rub work, coming complete with removable sword and sheild that can be mounted on the knight’s back! The exclusive clear purple colourway shown above unfortunately (for us!) sold out in a matter of hours at the con, so we’re keeping our fingers crossed this isn’t the last we see of this stunning piece… Stay tuned for more info and be sure to head over to the Blackgard site to check out the latest on the Monster Farm, plus their upcoming iPad game KROG!

Marty “The Godbeast” Hansen is proud to reveal the return of the highly sought after Clawshine M.U.S.C.L.E custom, this time in a super-authentic flesh tone! Combining two of M.U.S.C.L.E’s most iconic figures, the Claw and Sunshine robot, the 2″ tall figure comes bagged and headed. No news as to whether this is a rubber or resin release (the pics appear startlingly close to rubber), but with a price tag of just $30 each plus shipping, you can be sure they wont be around for long. Continuing his recent barrage of resin bootlegs, 2bitHACK has just revealed details of his latest project, the “Mi Empire Loca” series! Hilariously combining hispanic culture with Star Wars, the first character to be announced is “Chewbacca Homes”, coming complete with vest, long shorts and trainers! Seen above is the first test pull which 2bitHACK plans to have coloured in the next few days… Due for a full reveal at Designer Con in November, 2bitHACK assures us that there will be plenty more “essays and vatos” to come soon!

Todd Robertson aka Mechavirus kindly shares with us details of his latest resin drop, the Creamsicle Ammonaitos. Limited to an edition of just three, each of the Ammonaitos have been cast in a mixture of creamy marbled tones, coming complete with meticulous hand painted detailing. Packaged in a custom stenciled box, the beautiful figures have been priced at $75 (domestic shipping included) each. Continuing his onslaught of recent customs, UK based graffiti artist Hoakser is proud to present his latest Trikky creation, Eyesore! Marrying the various styles that Hoakser has developed over the last year, Eyesore cherry-picks the best aspects of the artist’s sculpted work, mixing them with the weathered aesthetic of the highly popular “Vandalised Vinyl” series. Painted using textured acrylics, the metallic creature even comes complete with his own mini Hoakser canvas and easel! MAN-E-NEWS// The ‘Rivet Wars’ Blighter Monowheel from Ted Terranova…

Recently revealed here a few weeks back, Rivet Wars creator Ted Terranova has been hard a work developing the highly anticipated Blighter Monowheel! Pictured above is a near-finished sculpt of the contraption… as you can see from previous shots, Ted has added a huge amount of detail, pivoting the vehicle to give the soldier a more dynamic stance. In line with recent grunt designs, Ted has made the figure instantly recognisable as a Blight, decking him out in ceremonial suit, hat and cutlas. Soon to be heading to the 3D printers for prototyping, expect more news on this promising release, alongside the recently revealed grunts, soon…

The elusive Kaiju Coup is proud to present the latest addition in their creeped-out neo-kaiju series, the horrific Warui Inu ‘Mange’ edition. Manufactured by Medicom Toys in Japan, the 6.5″ tall vinyl figure has been cast in pink vinyl, coming complete with gross mangey fur, oozing sores and decaying teeth! Easily Kaiju Coups most twited creation yet, the gruesome “Mange” mutt has been limited to 6 pieces worldwide. As with past releases, anyone interested in snapping up Warui Inu “Mange” will need to register with Kaiju Coup (e-mail details to- kaijucoup@gmail.com) before June 19th to be entered into the lottery. MAN-E-NEWS// The new Thundercrap Spiki set plus Revolver Girl SDCC exclusive from Rotobox…

Just in time for the upcoming  Anime Expo (June 29th – July 2nd), Rotobox Vinyl Anatomica are proud to present their latest wave of Thundercraps figures, this time coming in a 3-piece box set! Originally previewed here way back in January, the final roster has been confirmed as Evil Lion-Oh Really, OG Cheatarah, Siberian Tigrowl and Goldigger Cheatarah. As you can guess by the amount of figures that have been revealed, one of these guys will be a chase… well, we can confirm that out of the 300 box sets that will be heading to retail, 100 of them will contain the Goldigger variant of Cheatarah, whilst the remaining 200 will feature the OG. Standing at around 4″ each, the vinyl figures will be officially released after the Anime Expo, priced at $45 per pack…

Rotobox have also revealed their first exclusive for this year’s SDCC, the Revolver Girl “Barenaked” edition! Limited to just 100 pieces, the latest Celcius styled figure comes with 2 guns, a removable towel, plus mini comic.
