Featuring a whole slew of figures both new and old, personal highlights include GID Nipples and Otoko-Zame, as well as Tate-Eboshi and Dunkleosteus in a gorgeous black/gold colorway. Opening its doors at the prestigious Angel Abby store this Friday, July 1st at 7pm local time, we’re told any leftover pieces will make it online soon after. Teresa Chiba x P.P.Pudding’s Inu-Harigon revealed…

The guys behind sofubi house P.P.Pudding have teamed up with Japanese artist Teresa Chiba for the first figure in their upcoming FolkToy Kaiju series… the stunning Inu-Harigon! Whilst details on both the project and figure are still unclear at present, it would appear that the Buddhist dog comes in at a mid-sized 4″-6″ tall, coming complete with articulation in the arms and neck as well as a removable prayer bead necklace. Going on sale at an undisclosed location starting July 4th, we suggest keeping an eye on Teresa’s Instagram feed here for more details soon…

Cop A Squat Toys’ Ango and Komorebi sofubi prototypes revealed…

After over a year on the drawing board, the latest sofubi from Cop A Squat Toys‘ Adam Saul – Ango and Komorebi – have just been fully revealed in prototype form! Whilst information on the pair is still close guarded at present, we can at least confirm that they’ve been digitally sculpted (a first for CAST), standing at around 7″ tall each and featuring articulation in the arms, neck and waist. Currently on their way to Japan for soft vinyl production as we speak, we’re told to expect the debut of Ango and Komorebi at some point in late Fall. Look out for more news on the pair (including a detailed backstory) over the coming months…

Miscreation Toys’ “Blank Purple” Iron Monster…

Jeremi Rimel over at Miscreation Toys has just revealed that his hugely popular Iron Monster sofubi will be returning in an all-new blank colorway this week! Inspired by Dr Zorka’s robot in the 1939 scifi/ horror B-movie serial “The Phantom Creeps”, the towering 15″ figure was designed by Rimel, digitally sculpted by iamscumbag and produced in Japan courtesy of Grody Shogun. Cast in a retina-melting deep purple soft vinyl this time around, the beast has been priced at a new lower sum of just $125 plus shipping. Touching down in limited quantities on the Miscreation store this Friday, July 1st at 12pm Pacific, be sure to get there earlier as these are sure to sellout quick!

Japanese artist Aya Kakeda has teamed up with Tomenosuke for the release of the fourth colorway of her debut sofubi, the adorable “To The Medetai Island” Microbus! Standing at around 6.5″ tall, the gorgeous wheeled figure features a unique baby toy-inspired design, featuring working wheels on the base, plus 5 fully detachable and interchangeable micros riding on the back. Produced in a gorgeous gold glitter-infused soft vinyl this time around – once again limited to just 30 pieces – the unique looking figure has been treated to a simple mix of metallic spot sprays.
