Solo Is Toy’s “First Release” Molochowl…

Making it’s debut at Soft Vinyl Garden’s Oz Comic Con booth a couple of weeks back, the debut sofubi from Solo Is Toy, “Molochowl”, is set for it’s first general release this weekend! The latest figure to jump on the recent trend of 2-headed monster designs, this beast features a very similar aesthetic to the iconic horned Jack the Giant Killer-inspired Bemon, coming in at a super-chunky 10.8″ tall with 7 points of articulation. Limited to a run of just 20 figures cast coming in a mix of unpainted blue, green, flesh and black soft vinyl, this first wave of Molochowls will set you back $200 each plus shipping. Tru:Tek’s Slimerballs and Norris Oozecrab for the Xenoplasm group show…

With the highly anticipated Xenoplasm group show touching down at Melbourne’s Outre Gallery in just a couple of weeks time, our very own Tru:Tek exclusively reveals the 2 entries he’ll have up for grabs! First off, we have the Slimerball micro-run. A mash-up of the Oozeball and STKL Toys‘ Uneasy Joe (in particular, his arms!), this limited edition of just 3 balls have been treated to various slime-green, purple and pink sprays to resemble everyone’s favourite little spud Slimer, coming complete with yellow-sprayed glass eyes to match the original 80’s Kenner toy…

Next, we have the Norris Oozecrab one-off. Once again featuring a number of arms from STKL’s Uneasy Joe (5 this time!), the custom, based on the fateful Norris from cult horror flick The Thing, has been treated to layers of fleshy sprays, blood splatters, a blood shot glass eye stalk and a gruesome hi-gloss finish. On display alongside a whole host of other one-offs and painted runs at the event on July 8th, interested parties can get a preview of what will be on offer by checking out the event’s dedicated Instagram feed right here

Jeff Lamm x Paul Kaiju x Unbox Industries’ Salamander D5…

Originally teased way back in December of last year, the Salamander D5 from Jeff Lamm x Paul Kaiju is now finally ready to be unleashed onto the general public this week! Featuring the body of Lamm’s hugely popular Space Mining Division 5, the lumbering Unbox Industries-produced piece comes with both the OG SMD5 robot head and a reduced version of PK’s Salamander Joe, both of which look right at home under the figure’s semi-translucent helmet. Standing at an impressive 10″ tall and featuring 5 points of articulation, the Star Eater has been treated to a gorgeous copper paint app based on a master from PK, coming complete with a detail hugging rub and eye-catching c-thru red to clear fades. TAG x Uglydolls’ “Power Pink” Uglydoll Mini Monsters…

Fresh from their last blank release just a couple of weeks back, the UGLYDOLL Mini Monsters from toy legends David Horvarth/Sun-Min Kim and Toy Art Gallery return in their first official painted colorway! A  series of eight adorable mighty mites that features all of your UGLYDOLL favorites, including BABO, JEERO, OX, WAGE, BATTY, TARGET, ICE BAT and WEDGEHEAD, each figure stands at around 2″ tall and features a simple 2-part design. Produced in a gorgeous unpainted glittery pink sofubi and treated to blue/silver sprays with hand painted detailing, the little guys will be offered up at $15 each or just $75 for the full set. Look out for them in the TAG store at 12pm Pacific today (6/22)!

Rotten Studio’s “Jelly Bean” Earthly one-offs…

Rotten Studio‘s Jorge Fortiz Mendieta is the latest artist to take on Leeeeee Toy’s unique Earthly platform, proudly presenting the “EarthlyBean” one-off release! Featuring both male and female versions of the Eco-conscious toy, the pair have been cast in a flesh-tone vinyl this time, coming complete with layers of multi-colored “jelly bean” style sprays and detailing. Currently residing in the Rotten Studio store right here, the pair will set you back just $160 each shipped worldwide… Look out for the next custom Earthly release coming from our very own Tru:Tek later this week!

Electric Monarchy’s Bukkake keshi at the Art Whore Store…

Following months of teasers and reveals, the first version of Electric Monarchy‘s Bukkake keshi will finally be available to purchase through Art Whore this weekend! Taking its name from a sex act we’ll once again refrain from describing here, this gloopy, gross-out mini figure has been sculpted by Macsorro based on a design from EM’s Fint and Ralph Niese, coming in at just over 2″ tall and almost the same wide. Produced by our very own Tru:Tek in a keshi-style rubber, this first version had been cast in a rather fitting (albeit totally disgusting!) off-white GID that closely resembles a certain human secretion… Urgh! Packed in a deluxe, branded grip seal bag with signed artist card and mystery mini figure, Bukkake will be making his way into the Art Whore Store this Saturday, July 25th at 1pm Australia time… Look out for word on further editions very soon!

Gravy Toys‘ Bwana Spoons will be concluding his recent run of Friday releases this week with a painted run of Borris the Bee! Designed by Bwana with sculpt and production duties courtesy of Gargamel, the 5″, 2-part sofubi has been cast in what appears to be a clear vinyl this time around, coming with a swathe of both internal and external c-thru sprays in Bwana’s unmistakable style. Touching down in limited quantities on the Gravy Toys store this Friday, June 24th at 10am Pacific time, pricing for Borris is still to be confirmed…

Plaseebo’s Octoozeball custom…

Bob Conge aka Plaseebo is proud to present the first in a series of customs using our very own Tru:Tek’s Oozeball sofubi… the rather aptly titled Octoozeball! Featuring a flesh-cast ball mashed up with a hand cast resin “Octo” base, the 5.5″ long figure has been fitted with a switched, color-changing LED unit with replaceable batteries mounted in the base that creates a molten lava effect from within the ball. Finished with layers of Monster Kolor sprays and hand painted detailing, the signed and dated figure will be going on sale in the Plaseebo store this coming Friday, June 24th. Produced by Goro with help from NagNagNag, the ultimate super ‘bot borrows elements from a number of classic Kaiju mecha, including Mach Baron, King Joe and Gundam, to form one of the most exquisitely designed and produced sofubi we’ve ever witnessed.


Featuring a main body unit as well as a number of detachable, transforming elements that can be integrated with a matching play set base (included), all parts have been cast in a soft vinyl with matching white, red, blue, silver and yellow masked sprays. Science Patrol’s “Marbled” Mastodon Tanks…

Science Patrol‘s hugely popular Mastodon Tank sofubi has returned this week in a ton of new colorways! Loosely based on the ride-in tanks found in SNK’s cult run-and-gun Metal Slug, the 3″ tall, 2-part mini has been hand cast by SP in a variety of marbled colorways including orange/green and black/yellow, each coming blind bagged for the extremely reasonable sum of just $27 each. Currently residing in the SP store alongside a whole slew of standard solid colorways, we suggest heading over quick to avoid disappointment as these tend to sell out pretty quick!

The “Quiet Galaxy” Uamou sofubi…


Uamou‘s signature sofubi mini returns this week in an all-new “Quiet Galaxy” colorway! Standing at just under 3″ tall, the super-cute 2-part mini has been produced in a glossy pitch black soft vinyl this time, coming with metallic blue and pink sprays with a glitter finish courtesy of master painter Goto-san. Currently up for grabs in limited numbers through the Uamou store for just 3,000yen plus shipping, expect to see the little guy joined by a number of other “Quiet Galaxy” releases over the next couple of months…

Purple Toy’s Youth Fighter (清河联合) soft vinyl figure revealed…

Artist Chairman666 has just unveiled the latest figure from his Purple Toy imprint, the awesome Youth Tiger (清河联合)! Whilst info on the piece is still thin on the ground at present, it would appear that the demonic pro wrestler has been loosely based on the iconic Tiger Mask, featuring similar boots, pants and headgear as the legendary fighter. Utilising a simple 2-part design that we’re presuming has been cast in soft vinyl by production partner Unbox Industries, we’ll be keeping our fingers crossed for Youth Tiger’s first release very soon.
