MAN-E-NEWS// The Death Cat resin figures from Death Cat Toys…

With the stunning Lilith figure tucked firmly under his belt, Johan Ulrich over at Death Cat Toys is proud to reveal his latest resin creation, the Death Cat mini figures! Based on DCT’s Bikkuriman-styled feline mascot, the disgruntled kitty has been designed and digitally sculpted by Johan, with resin casting once again in the hands of Dubose Art. Release details for the 3″ figures are still scarce at present, but a total of 4 different colour samples have been revealed so far (clockwise from top); Devilman, Not So Lucky, GID Grey and OG Orange Tabby, each coming hand sprayed by the artist with either a bell or skull collar accessory. Due to be making their first appearance at a TAG show in June, be sure to keep track of Johan’s IG feed here for full release over the coming weeks…

MAN-E-NEWS// Dr Death’s Mutant Bastard “Sergei the Sturgeon” revealed…

Remember last years jaw-dropping Mutant Steve resin action figure? Well to those that do, you’ll be happy to know that creator Rune Alexandersen aka Dr Death is back at work on an all new release in the ongoing Mutant Bastard series, and to those that don’t, you better sit up and take note, as you’re certainly not going to want to miss out again! Pictured here as an early WIP, the latest addition, “Sergei the Sturgeon”, once again borrows heavily from the early 90’s Playmates aesthetic to amazing affect, coming with all the crazy details and balanced asymmetry that made the likes of TMNT and the Toxic Crusaders such a success in their heyday. Due to be produced in resin by the fine chaps over at Goodleg Toys in the near future, stay tuned for more reveals (including TMNT-style sidekick mini, Boris the Shrimp!), along with some solid release details as soon as we get ’em…

Following last weeks epic Surf Nazis Must Die release, the guys over at Goodleg Toys have wasted no time in preparing their latest slab of bootleg genius, presenting the Maschine Brigade! Kit-bashed and re-sculpted from a selection of vintage 3.75″ action figures, these relentless resin bio-soldiers have been hand cast and painted by the duo, coming in a choice of 80’s inspired blue and red colourways. Priced at just $35 each plus shipping, the fully articulated Maschine Brigade can be found in limited numbers on the Goodleg Toy store right here…

MAN-E-NEWS// Elegab’s Bukimindar kaiju…

After a slight hitch last week, Elegab‘s latest monstrosity, the stunning Bukimindar, has finally made it’s first appearance! Dropping via the usual lottery system on the Elegab site right here (scroll down to the bottom for the English translation), a total of 3 different colourways for the lofty 10″ kaiju are up for grabs; a solid red, a black and a clear yellow, each coming complete with a number of metallic sprays, 3 points of articulation and a fully removable Destroyer-style driver. Priced at just 8,600yen ($84) each plus shipping, interested parties are going to need to fire over their lottery entry before the close on Thursday, May 8th…

MAN-E-NEWS// The Koningu sofubi from Ummikko…

Originally teased way back in February in unpainted green and flesh test shot colours, the debut sofubi from Ummikko (Monkey 3000), entitled “Koningu”, will finally be up for grabs next week! Sticking with the artist’s reoccurring primate theme, the wonderfully realised figure appears to draw from a number of different influences, including vintage sofubi, Hirota Saigansho’s Gorilla Ju and TTToys’ Bigfoot, albeit in Monkey’s instantly recognisable, super chunky style. Cast up in a dark grey soft vinyl with silver/mauve sprays for this first release, edition size and pricing on the beast are still to be confirmed, but we’re told to expect him in the new Ummikko store this Sunday, May 11th at 5pm Central European Time (EST+6). MAN-E-NEWS// The Reverse Power Nibblers and Chompysaurs from The Tarantulas…

Coming just in time for today’s May the 4th celebrations, The Tarantulas have just revealed that a limited batch of Reverse Power Nibblers will be going on sale at the Fish Tank Castle tonight at 11pm UK time! Originally debuting at ToyCon UK a few weeks back, the Star Wars “Power Droid” inspired colorway features a reversed chest-piece this time around, exposing the pantone-perfect yellow, pink and grey buttons of the original Kenner figure. Priced at just £20 each plus shipping, edition size has been kept a secret…

Joining the Nibblers, The Tarantulas will also be unleashing a batch of Chompysaur mash-ups. Created by Jon Malmstedt of Rampage Toys and utilising both Nibbler head and Cyclops Dino body, the flesh cast figures have been treated to a mix of watermelon neon pink/green sprays offset with black and white detailing. Limited to just 3, these will be dropping at the same time as the Nibblers, coming in at £40 each plus shipping…

Following in the recent footsteps of both Guumon and Blurble, Splurrt is the latest to take on SLAVExONE‘s neo-kaiju beastie, proudly presenting the “Artic” Geros! Cast in a white soft vinyl, the 6.5″ figures have been decked out in Splurrt’s signature mix of icy blue, silver and black sprays. Edition size, pricing and an exact release date are all still to be confirmed at present, so be sure to keep a close eye on the Splurrt IG feed here for the full lowdown in the next few days…

UPDATE// The Artic Geros have been confirmed for release on the Splurrt store this coming Saturday, May 10th at 12 Noon EST, coming in at $75 a piece.

Teaming up with maniacal wizard ScarecrowOven, the guys over at Scumbags & Superstars come with their latest micro run of “Skull Chief” sofubi. Limited to an edition of 6 hand painted figures, the soft vinyl mascot is joined by a tee featuring the Chief in ScarecrowOven’s classic style, alongside a limited 4″x6″ postcard print and stickers. Originally debuting at Superfestival last weekend, Gargamel have just revealed that their latest batch of keshi-style mini figures will be touching down in the Mitari store at 9pm Japan time today! Featuring 5 designs from the first 2 rounds alongside 5 all-new sculpts (including a rather awesome SS helmeted Zag!), the 2″ kinkeshi inspired figures have been cast up in a mix of black and clear green resin for the release. Going on sale alongside the previously posted figures from the NNWA, pricing and edition size is still to be confirmed…

Blurble is proud to introduce a total of 3 new custom resins that’ve just touched down in his store! First up, we have the latest version of Ooze-It homage “Oozy”, entitled “The Future”. Cast in a semi translucent neon pink courtesy of Dubose Art, the 6″ tall figure comes with a mix of vintage style silver and metallic spot sprays. Priced at $65 plus shipping, The Future comes packed with a set of limited edition Ooze Club stickers and button… Next we have “Flashy Toxic”. The latest incarnation of Blurble’s Kid Toxic, the 6″ tall piece has been cast in a matching trans pink resin, with black, white, color-shift metallic and pearl paints for just $50 shipped in the US… Last, but by no means least, we have McOoze! Yet another Disarticulator-tinged post today, as we bring you the latest release from Lee over at Bigmantoys… the “Street Trash” Toilet Guy! A loving tribute to the classic 1987 gross-out flick of the same name, the Monster in My Pocket style figure depicts one of the film’s many unfortunate “Viper” victims (a deadly liquid that causes the drinker to melt- messily!), standing at around 2″ from toe to toilet lid. Available in either neon green/pink rubber or flesh toned flexi-resin for $14, or just $21 for a full hand paint, limited supplies of Toilet Guy can be found in the Bigmantoys store right here…

Celebrating the launch of new online indie toy retailer Dark Mind Toys (URL to come!), owner Tim MacBride aka Zombiethulhu is proud to present the first exclusive that’ll be touching down soon… a fresh batch of the Disarticulators‘ Critter mini figure! Designed and sculpted by Zectron and produced in a keshi-style rubber courtesy of Tru:Tek, the 1″ tall figures have been cast in a gorgeous thermal color-changing purple-blue pigment this time around, with a total of 13 up for grabs; 8 in a deep “eggplant” and 5 in a light “lavender”, each coming packed with an all-new custom header designed by Tru:Tek (pictured above). Due to be heading to the store over the next couple of weeks alongside a few other undisclosed toys, keep a close eye on the Zombiethulhu IG feed here for the full lowdown soon…

One Critter release not enough to quench your thirst? Then you’ll be glad to know that a new “Nano” version will be touching down in the Man-E-Toys store over the next few weeks. Reduced to a quarter of the original’s size at just 11mm tall, these tiny little guys are due to be released in “blind bagged” packs of 5- each coming encased in a fizzy, water soluble egg! MAN-E-NEWS// FULL REVEAL: The Disarticulators’ Monster Skelve keshi for Stranger Factory’s Conjuring Mischief…

Teased as a finished proto on Wednesday, we’re very proud to finally reveal the Monster Skelve keshi in all its rubbery glory! Created for tonight’s Conjuring Mischief show at Stranger Factory, the Disarticulators‘ 3.5″ take on Circus Posterus‘ classic Skelve has been designed/sculpted by Zectron, with production in a keshi-style rubber courtesy of Tru:Tek. Debuting in 2 exclusive colorways for the show, a flesh tone and a Stranger Factory inspired bright orange (alongside a couple of cheeky one-offs!), both have been limited to just 20 pieces each, coming in at $35 loose. Those unable to attend the event will be glad to know that remaining pieces will be up for grabs on Monday, May 5th at Noon PST via e-mail at strangerfactorysales@gmail.com.

“Conjuring Mischief,” Stranger Factory’s 3rd Anniversary Custom Skelve show, opens it’s doors tonight (5/2) with a reception from 6-9PM local time, and be available for viewing through June 1st, 2014.

Based on the film’s super-villain Adolf, the 3.75″ resin figure comes 100% hand made and painted, replete with 5 points of articulation, hand cut cape and surfboard accessory courtesy of FonkyFinger Fingerboards. Having been pulled away from regular blogging duties over the past couple of days to finish up a few toy-related projects (one of which we’ll be revealing to you later on today!), we’re proud to reveal that Man-E-Toys is now back in full swing- returning just in time to cover the latest resin action figure from Retroband, the ghoulish undergrounder CHUD! Based on Douglas Cheek’s cult 1984 horror of the same name (an acronym for Cannibalistic Humanoid Underground Dweller), the 4.25″ sewer dwelling mutant has been cast in resin, coming hand painted with UV glowing eyes. Packed with a C.H.U.D manhole cover accessory, the double blistered release comes on a beautifully illustrated, heavyweight cardback, limited to an edition of 55 and priced at just $80 a piece. Touching down in the Retroband store today (4/30) at 7pm CST, be sure to set your alarms for this one guys, as it’s certainly not going to be around for long!

Rich over at UME Toys kindly introduces us to Barnie, the smallest Wookiee at Rebel high with his sights set firmly on following his uncle’s footsteps and flying the Naboo duckling! The latest figure in the artist’s ongoing series of adorable Star Wars inspired mini figures, the little guy stands at a hairy 3″ tall, coming hand cast in solid resin and painted with a number of detail hugging acrylic washes. Coinciding with Star Wars Day celebrations in just a couple of weeks time, Barnie will be debuting in the UME Toys store on May 4th at 9pm GMT. Limited to an edition of just 20 pieces for this first release, each figure is due to come signed, numbered and bagged with a collectors card for £35 plus shipping…
