Based on the artist’s smiley-inspired mascot, Manny reinterpreted the character as a drippy head that can be rather cleverly displayed in 2 different positions. Cast in resin, the 2″ figure is initially available in 2 hand painted colourways; a black/white and black/yellow. Whilst we impatiently wait for release details on the highly anticipated Cadaver Twins, Splurrt has just revealed something that’ll more than fill the gap for now… a custom painted run of Usirs by none other than Hellopike! Cast in a neon green vinyl, the stunning sofubi minis have been sprayed by the Skullbrain regular in a mix of neons and metallics, resulting in one of the figure’s tightest runs we’ve seen so far. No news on edition size or pricing on these, although we’re guessing regardless of the specifics, these won’t be hanging around long after their 1pm EST drop tomorrow (August 24th) in the Splurrt store…

Max Toy Co are proud to announce that the latest iteration of Konatsu’s ever popular Kaiju Negora is now up for pre-order! Cast in a white vinyl with beautiful tiger-inspired black, orange and pink sprays, each little kitty comes complete with gold, black, pink and white detailing, plus matching fish accessory. With Paul Kaiju and Toy Art Gallery‘s Pollen Kaiser Custom Show just a couple of weeks away, we thought we’d kick the reveals off with one of our favourites so far… the incredible NecroKaiser from none other than tkom3! Originally covered a few weeks back, the up and coming artist’s unmistakable style returns in spades for this piece, featuring a mesmerising mix of neon fades set against bold black, grey and white blocking. The pièce de résistance has got to be the included staff accessory though, coming completely resculpted in a similar vein to the recently featured ‘Doublethink’ figure- a super-creepy sunken face, sewn up eye lids and a glaring, bloodshot mind’s eye to top things off! Featuring the previously revealed Clawbber alongside long-time adversary Bog-Nar, the pair have been given the super-deformed treatment courtesy of HamFX, coming digitally sculpted and 3D printed, with full resin production planned soon. MAN-E-NEWS// Rampage Toys’ Gachapin Goblin micro sofubis revealed…
With the likes of Superfestival, NYCC, Design Fiesta and Dcon fast approaching, Jon Malmstedt over at Rampage Toys has decided it’s about time to reveal his all-new line up of sofubi that’ll be making an appearance… presenting the Gachapin Goblin micros! Consisting of 7 1.5″-2″ tall Gachapon-ready figures, the little critters have been designed by Rampage Toys, Joseph Harmon, Walter Parenton (IV – Bobbybeast creator) and Art Junkie, with sculpting duties headed by Jon, Joseph Harmon, and AJ’s official prototyper. The first figures to be retooled and wax cast in-house at Rampage Studios, metal moulds for sofubi casting are currently being finalised for the first regular release at Superfestival on September 29th.
Those eager to secure an early set will be glad to know that a pre-order for unpainted black versions will be up on the store this Friday, August 23rd. Details are still hazy at the moment, but Jon has stated that the figures will be available for around $10 each, with special incentives for bagging the whole set, including discounts and the possibility of some blind-bag painted versions! MAN-E-NEWS// The Kingdom action figure Kickstarter from Jason Bienvenu…
Creator of comic book “The Kingdom“, artist Jason Bienvenu is proud to announce that the miniseries is set to make the transition into the world of toys! Due to touch down on Kickstarter soon, Jason will be raising funds in order to produce two 5 inch scale action figure prototypes based on The Kingdom’s main protagonists, Pale and Barron Kah Lee. Each figure, digitally sculpted by Alvaro Ribeiro, will feature a static pose and weapon accessory, as well as packaging artwork, a bio card and battle dice for a “Primal Battle Game”. News as to how the figures will be produced are still to be revealed (we’ll be keeping our fingers crossed for a hand cast resin run!), so be sure to look out for the full lowdown before the project goes live. MAN-E-NEWS// Mechavirus’ Ammonaito sofubi sculpt revealed…
Judging by this recently posted pic on Instagram, it would appear that Mechavirus‘ sea-dwelling kaiju, the Ammonaito, is finally making the leap to sofubi! After countless resin customs and painted runs, the stunning creature has been completely re-tooled for the new medium, featuring a slightly upscaled body, tighter detailing and a much more dynamic pose. Due to be making it’s way over to Japan for production in the near future, we’ll be sure to update you guys as soon as we hear anything…
