Joining the debut of Blurble‘s latest resin figure Sparrow next week, it appears that SDCC will also play host to the next round of ever-popular “Goo and Roo” Fight Bros 2 packs! Kit-bashed and re-sculpted from the iconic M.U.S.C.L.E line, the pair of mini figures have been cast by none other than Luke over at Imperfecz Toyz using flexible keshi-style rubber, this time around in a marbled white/blue for this SDCC release. News on the when and the where are still to be confirmed, but we’re guessing you’ll be able to find these guys in limited quantities at the Lulubell x Velocitron booth for around $20 a set. Manny X is proud to present the return of his popular Rat Skull resins, introducing a devilish new colourway into the mix… Blood of the Wicked! Standing at around 1.5″ tall and 2″ ear to ear, the stunning little mini figure has been cast up in a swirled, clear crimson resin. Up for grabs via pre-order right now on the Patrullax store, the latest Rat Skull comes bagged and tagged with header card for a very reasonable $13 plus shipping. Bob Conge aka Plaseebo has teamed up with Dragatomi for a number of SDCC exclusive custom releases, the first of which coming in the form of this gorgeous “MAGMA” Night Gamer sofubi… Cast in a dark black soft vinyl with firey orange and yellow sprays, the one-off piece has been fitted with the artist’s signature clear glass eyes and internal motion-activated LED units. Available from the Dragatomi booth (#5350) starting Thursday, 18th July, pricing on the little guy is still to be confirmed…

It’s finally time folks… After 2 months of drip fed teasers and reveals, the long awaited 8-Ball Radioactive Rumbler Kickstarter campaign is finally upon us! To those that missed our previous posts, the 4″ tall beast will be the first in an ongoing line of sofubi figures from John Santagada’s Radioactive Uppercut, coming cast in a Japanese soft vinyl (NOT Chinese rotocast!), with 3 points of world destroying articulation… As mentioned in our earlier coverage, John has pulled out all the stops when it comes to reward tiers, offering low-cost entry points including stickers and buttons, a whopping 11 one-off customs from some of the art toy scene’s finest (listed below), 2 hand cast resin variants, PLUS both the standard red deco version AND DIY blank “Decontamination Edition”- each coming with a three-panel cardstock diorama and collectible character trading card. Priced at just $55, the standard edition will stay exclusive to the campaign, whilst the $35 blank is likely to reappear at some point in the future, although that certainly doesn’t mean you should sleep on it!

Due to come cast in a clear purple resin (TBC), the figure will be up for grabs via a very special competition soon… Expect more news on the specifics closer to the end of the campaign!

It’s been a while in coming, but the must-have Meatgrinder keshi from Nama Niku will finally be making it’s debut as a Wonder Festival exclusive later this month! A truly monstrous mini figure collaboration, the awesome creature was sculpted by Ironhaus‘ Jimmy Rommel using Nama’s infamous meatgrinder head, coming cast in an exclusive purple/green neon rubber (including removable title belt!) by none other than Eric Nilla. Going on sale at the Rampage Toys booth (details TBC), we’ll be keeping our fingers crossed that at least a couple make it to the online store soon after… Expect details on the general release in the coming weeks!

Fresh from the ‘Solid‘ blank white release a couple of weeks back, Datadub over at Fig-Lab readies the latest batch of unpainted Finger 5 sofubis… presenting the “TOOTI-FROOTI” edition! Due to go on sale at SDCC next week, the five finger puppets, based on iconic characters from Paul Kaiju, Lamour Supreme, Matt Doughty, Sucklord and Monstre Hero, have been cast in a mix of Fruit Loop inspired neon soft vinyl. No news on specific release details as of yet, so we suggest keeping an eye on the Datadub IG feed here for the full lowdown closer to the event…

Monster Worship take SDCC by storm once again this year, revealing a whole slew of exclusives that’ll only be available at the Dragatomi booth next Friday, July 19th between 2pm-4pm! Without further adieu, we bring you the complete rundown in full…

BLACK HEKSEN// A collaboration between Monster Worship and Dwid Hellion, Black Heksen has been cast in GID soft vinyl for this SDCC exclusive, coming with grey, red and black paint accents. Standing at approximately 7″ tall and packed with both dagger and staff accessories, the figure has been priced at $70. MW has also stated that a super-limited amount of unpainted GID may also be making an appearance too!

CANNIBAL FUCKFACE// The latest iteration of Johnny Ryan’s awesome Cannibal Fuckface has been cast in a pink soft vinyl with metallic purple, red, yellow, & silver paint accents- MW’s bastardization of the classic Hawaiian colorway! Standing at 7.5″ tall and coming with matching slorge accessory, Cannibal Fuckface will be available for $85. Pure soft vinyl violence!

ROTTWEILER HERPES// Continuing the Hawaiian theme, the latest RH has also be cast in a bright pink vinyl with similar contrasting sprays. Weighing in at 8″ tall with 3 points of articulation, Herpes can be yours for just $85 a go!

MECHA GREASEBAT// Debuting just a couple of weeks back, the mecha version of Jeff Lamm’s Greasebat receives it’s very first painted run! Colours are still to be confirmed, but we can expect the 9″ tall beast to come complete with switchable right fists (non-firing rocket & spikeball), plus an SDCC exclusive header for $95 each.

KUSOGON// Still to be revealed, beaK’s creepy Kusogon will be making a new appearance in an SDCC exclusive colourway. Standing approximately 4″ tall with 2 points of articulation, we’re still awaiting confirmation on pricing.

PRIEST// A brand new figure from a secret artist, the only information that we can confirm so far is that it’ll stand at around 7.5″ tall, come with 5 points of articulation and will be priced at $85. Expect a full reveal after the con!

SEMI KOROSIYA// Teaming up with Cop A Squat Toys, Monster Worship are proud to announce an SDCC exclusive variant of the Semi Korosiya kaiju! News on colourways and pricing are still to be announced, but we’re guessing these are going to look incredible!

Joined by a number of other one-offs, merchandise, plus some as yet unrevealed surprises, this little lot will ONLY be available in the 2 hour time slot mentioned above, so you better act fast if you want a slice of the action! To relieve the anxiety somewhat, presale tickets will be available from the Dragatomi Booth, starting on Thursday July 18th (#’s chosen at random)… Stay tuned for news of post-con sales soon!

The Jelly Empire‘s Selina Briggs kindly shares details of her latest run of Jelly Bot resins, the ready-to-rumble Luchabots! Kicking things off in style, Selina will be holding a wrestling tournament for the 6 new custom designs, whereby fans can decide the winners of each fight by voting through the Jelly Empire Facebook page right here. News on the actual release are still pretty thin on the ground at the moment, but Selina has stated that each wrestler will come with his own stats card, sticker and micro jellybot referee, as well as a blank jellybot and stat card to make your own competitor… Oh, and of course, the lucky collector who takes home the tournament winner will also receive the highly lauded championship belt! Previewed a few weeks back, Eric Nilla’s latest super rare custom keshi, Gremlins’ Gizmo, is finally upon us! Originally released as a Japan-only vending machine figure around the time of the film’s release, the awesome 1″ tall sculpt was kindly donated to Eric by fellow LRG member Meatcutta for recasting. Due to come in a huge selection of neon, GID, and thermal colorchange rubber, expect to see the little guy on the Nilla store later on today, priced between $12-$20 plus shipping…

The art toy scene’s go-to-guy for all things illustrated, the one and only Ralph Niese, turns his hand to sculpting once more, as he proudly presents his first ever 5.5″ action figure… Judas Biest! A love letter to MOTU and the 80’s Heavy Metal aesthetic (hence the Judas Priest reference!), the fearsome warrior has been 95% hand sculpted using a mix of Castilene/CX5 sculpting wax, featuring 3 points of articulation in both arms and waist. Currently in the hands of Goodleg Toys for full resin production, we’ll be keeping our fingers crossed for a release at some point over the summer. Following the recently teased final sculpt and wax proto, Mishka are proud to reveal the very first test pull of their latest soft vinyl figure, the as-yet-unnamed 2-Headed Cyco Simon Ape! Designed by none other than Lamour Supreme, the Bemon inspired creation appears to be much bigger in scale than the Mishka Bootleg, standing at around 10” tall with a whopping 8 points of articulation. We’ve been meaning to feature the mesmerizing works of Takahiro Komuro for quite some time now, and what with his latest solo show, DYSTOPIA, opening it’s doors just a couple of weeks back, we thought now was a good a time as any to take a look at one of his best creations to date. Entitled “Doublethink”, a reference to the reverse thinking needed to survive [Komuro’s] dystopian Japan, the jaw-dropping figure takes inspiration from a diverse range of subjects including neo-kaiju, Garabage Pail Kids and even George Orwell’s epic, 1984. Pictured here as a beautifully painted one-off for the show, we’ll be keeping our fingers crossed for a full release soon- the recently posted wip shots on Komuro’s IG feed certainly look promising!
