hippo

Previously featured as a work-in-progress sculpt a few weeks back, it appears that Ben Spencer‘s Hippo Titan Soldier will be making an appearance at next month’s C2E2 courtesy of ManOrMonster? Studios! Judging by the recently reveal first test pull, the incredible figure has been retooled by MoM’s Brandon to be fully compatible with both Warlords of Wor and MOTUMU lines… meaning at least six points of articulation, and the inclusion of fully interchangeable neo-mag joints! Unfortunately we have no news on edition size or pricing at the moment, but you can be sure if we hear anything, you guys will be the first to know…

MAN-E-NEWS// The ‘Harrington the Third’ resin figure from UME Toys…

ume

With work-in-progress shots posted just a couple of weeks ago, Rich over at UME Toys has amazingly already begun production on his latest slab of resin genius, the Vaughn Bode inspired Harrington the Third… Featuring a few subtle changes since the original reveal including the addition of spats, hat detailing, and of course the all important Victorian ‘tache, Rich has thankfully retained the minimal aesthetic that made the figure so pleasing to look at in the first place. Due to come in a subtle gloss-on-flat black colourway for the initial run (the pictured ‘Cheech Wizard’ one-off was commissioned by ourselves!), expect to see a limited number of these guys making their debut at next month’s ToyCon UK

MAN-E-NEWS// The Puripuriman custom keshi from Imperfecz Toys…

puripuri3

Ok guys, we’re extremely late on this one (2 months to be precise!), but the latest custom keshi from Imperfecz Toys was quite simply too good to ignore… Based on one of the few obscure Kinnikuman/Ultimate Muscle cartoon characters that failed to ever see an official kinkeshi release (We’re guessing this is largely due to the fact that he has an ass for a face- not particularly child friendly!), Puripuriman has been lovingly kit-bashed and resculpted by Imperfecz’ very own Luke Harris. Coming cast in a flexible keshi-style rubber, the faithful ‘M.U.S.C.L.E’ flesh toned figure is available on the Imperfecz store right here for just $10 plus shipping…

mike die

Heralded art toy customiser Mike Die has finally turned a hand to resin with the reveal of his first original toy! Originally based on the body of a Dunny, the custom piece soon took on a life of it’s own, with just the small feet stumps remaining from the original design. Sculpted in Die’s meticulous blend of super-clean lines, minimal, mech-infused shapes and machine-like symmetry, we can see this awesome creation opening up a whole new fan base of indie art toy collectors… here’s hoping it’s the first of many! No news with regards to how and when these will be offered up (even a name would be handy!), so we suggest stay locked on the MikeDie instragram feed here for any further developments…

Backstory// The core ED-IT DJ’s would struggle to put on a show without their trusty friends the B6400 series. From the very initial concept of a new show, through the to the final beat produced, B6400 are watching and tweaking via their expansive plethora of equipment. They work closely with partner company Accex to develop new machines and push boundaries. They are also partial to a good cheese burger…
