MAN-E-UPDATE// The Critters inspired mini figure from The Mighty Zectron…
Ahead of a MASSIVE reveal planned for the beginning of next week (head over to our instagram feed @trutek for some clues!), we’ve decided to take a little look at the updated packaging for Zectron‘s second batch of Critters inspired mini figures… Although the original window box design (featured here) proved to be a massive success, the practicalities of custom making dozens of the things has lead to Zectron opting for a bag and header approach using the original Crite/spaceship panel artwork. To combat the loss of space (originally each panel carried its own design), the artist has also included a tongue-in-cheek safety booklet- hand drawn and presented in the same style of toy inserts from the 80s/90s, a wonderful addition to an already great package! Unfortunately, once again these little guys have already been accounted for, but fear not! The original caster Eric Nilla will soon have an exclusive batch of red variants on his store soon… you may also want to check back for the big reveal next week (wink, wink!).

Following our reveal of Count Duckula homage “Quack” last week, we’ve decided to take a look at another two of David Healey aka Healeymade‘s recent pieces, the Sea Mod and Sogmoore mini figures… Bootlegged from the iconic Capatain Crunch and Soggy cereal toys (pictured bottom right), the little guys have been cast in a multitude of beautiful clear resins and finished with an optically clear gloss. Both featuring modifications from their original design, the Captain has had his head replaced with an unidentified design (can you tell who it is?), whilst Soggy has had additional sculpting around the face to replace the original flat, stickered design- hence the name Sogmoore, a Soggy with a bit more! No news on when or where the pair will be available, but we’re guessing if you head over to the Healeymade instagram feed (@healeymade) and ask nicely, David will be more than happy to sort something out…

Judging by the grunt (soldier) design, this will form part of the Allies side, joining the Vert Tank and Quad Stug in the battle against the evil Blight. No news on an exact release date for either the MonoWheel or Rocket Bike, but we have our fingers crossed for a debut at NYCC in October. Stay tuned for more news soon.

Taking one of our favourite Robot 13/King! characters, the rabbit eared lucha mask wearing El Conejo Furioso, Motorbot has faithfully recreated the rotund figure in the 2″ M.U.S.C.L.E scale with ease… Created for the Robot 13 Kickstarter a couple of months back, the set of 5 resin figures should be making their way to pledgees in both black and pewter colourways sometime in September/October.
