Yes, we know it’s the third post on these guys in as many weeks, but after catching a look at the finished products today, we couldn’t resist sharing them with you… Originally set for release last weekend, Monstrehero‘s MOTU inspired Axeface BC figures have since been given yet another round of paint detailing for what is set to become the studios most sought after release yet… Coupled with the awesome sculpt style, matching accessories, and of course, meticulous production quality, these figures are sure to vanish quick. Still no exact news on release, pricing and edition size, so be sure to keep track of the Monstrehero site in the coming days for regular updates…

MAN-E-NEWS// The “Dave” sofubi from Cometdebris x Sun-Min x David Horvath…

Cometdebris is proud to reveal the release of the latest incarnation of Dave, a design by Uglydoll creators Sun-Min and David Horvath.  Produced in Japan by intheyellow, and hand painted by Koji Harmon at Cometdebris headquarters in Tokyo, the beautifully realised sofubi has been cast in blue vinyl, coming with metallic purple, black, and bright yellow sprays. Priced at just $70 plus shipping ($16 worldwide), the adorable Dave is due to go on sale Saturday, June 2nd at 7pm PDT exclusively on the Cometdebris store…

MAN-E-NEWS// David Kraig’s Magician and White Rabbit customs…

Hot off the heals of the astounding “Jinx” custom (find out more here), David Kraig kindly shares with us his latest duo, the Magician and White Rabbit. Using a 4″ Munny and 3″ Dunny, along with Super Sculpey, artist canvas and acrylic paint, the enchanting sculpt style and clean paint work bear all the hallmarks of a great DK piece. Created for the upcoming Custom Toy Union Trade (find out more here), the Magician and White Rabbit unfortunately wont be available to purchase. The wait is finally over! After posting several updates on the progress of Martin Longbottom’s transition into a fully fledged resin release, Rich over at UME has just revealed the full details on this truly awesome release. Featuring a mixture of raw DIY blanks, a plethora of different custom runs, plus the much talked about flocked Fuzzybottoms! Coming blind boxed in accordance to their paint scheme/finish (check the line-up below), one extremely lucky collector will find a golden ticket nestled in with their Martin, which will treat them to their very own custom painted Jason from the recently released Kings of Resin series, plus a whole host of other UME goodies! Do you fancy making a custom Martin yourself? If you do then a Rawbottom is the Martin for you. Rawbottom Martins are fresh resin pull; sanded and assembled (legs attached and filled) with his hat unattached, ready for whatever you want to do to him (please be gentle).

Martin Longbottom OG colour way:
He was born to green and that’s the way his Dad love’s him. This version of Martin comes in OG green with light green details and sports his trademark hat. Martin Bluebottom:

MAN-E-UPDATE// The Eric Nilla x Nama-Niku MAN-E-TOYS exclusives- first test pulls…

As mentioned in our recent exposé of their awesome work, the mighty Eric Nilla and Tyler from Nama-Niku have agreed to work on a number of exclusives for our store… so it comes with great pleasure today to reveal to you the very first test pulls! Due to feature Eric’s SD Splatterhouse Rick, alongside Tyler’s Chibi Meatgrinder, standard Meatgrinder, and the Super Rare M.U.S.C.L.E Can (the pictured Half Baked Ham has not been confirmed), the 4 figures will be cast in an authentic keshi style rubber, coming in both a Man-E-Faces themed blue and super-limited purple colourway. As you can see by the comparison below, Eric’s already got the tints spot on… so expect to see these in the MAN-E-TOYS store sooner rather than later! In the mean time, we’ll be covering each of the figures in depth over the next few weeks (the Super Rare M.U.S.C.L.E Can has already featured here), so be sure to stay tuned!

MAN-E-NEWS// The Fonzo vinyl figure from Gary Ham x Freak Store…

Venezuelan designer toy outlet Freak Store are proud to present their very first vinyl release, Fonzo, designed by none-other than Gary Ham. Based on the store’s owners French bulldog, the adorable character has since gone on to become the face of the store- and now you have the chance to own him! With a standard edition of 200 pieces worldwide, Fonzo will also be coming in an as-yet-unrevealed chase colourway… no news on how many of them there will be, but we’re guessing they’re pretty limited! No news with regards to pricing, but you can expect the 6″ chap to appear on the Freak Store at some point next week. Keep track of any updates on the Freak Twitter feed here

Originally revealed in proto form at C2E2 a while back (find out more here), Ben Spencer‘s General Gorgax is finally gearing up for release at the end of this week! With a body based on the highly popular MOTU inspired Galaxxor, and a head taken from Ben’s recent Cyborg Space Barbarians mini-series, the monstrous looking figure stands at menacing 5.5″ tall. Coming cast by resin wizard, Marty “The Godbeast” Hansen and hand painted by Ben himself, Gorgax has been limited to just 5 pieces in the initial black/neon green colourway. Priced at $90 each, expect this awesome figure to land on the Galaxxor shop this Friday (June 1st) at Noon CDT…

Fresh from the beautiful amber-tinted Goldies series, Peter Kato kindly shares with us his latest batch of resins for what he calls the “Blue Harvest Sale”! Coinciding with last weekend’s Memorial celebrations, Peter has cast a variety of his most loved figures in a mixture of clear blue resins, from deep royals right through to light blue ice.

Featuring Turtle Tetsujin, Kawako, Fright Bite, Sky Baby, and our favourite, Man-Nie, Peter has reduced the standard prices on all figures for the sale; Figures that are normally $20 will be $15, figures normally $10 are $8, and $5 figures are $3… With Turtle Tetsujin coming with hand painted detailing and the embedded Pea character, we sure you’ll agree that $15 is an absolute steal! Lamour Supreme has revealed the latest editions of the highly sought after BOOTLEG kaiju, this time inspired by Marvel’s Mad Titan, Thanos! Produced by Adfunture and hand sprayed by Lamour in Thanos’ signature gold, blue and purple colour scheme, the figure is set to drop in Sweeden at some point this week… no exact news of when and where, so be sure to stay locked on Lamour’s Twitter feed for more info soon…

Debuting at the Kapow Comic Con last weekend, the new wave of B.A.S.T.A.R.D’s from Triclops Studio were an instant success, and whilst most were snapped up, the guys have revealed that a select few are still available to purchase. Featuring the newly created PeeNut Hunter alongside resurrected characters PeeNut, Musclito (sold out), Tommy Tanker, and of course, Ballock, the 1.5-2″ tall M.U.S.C.L.E customs have been cast in a wide selection of tinted resins, including yellow, green, black, pink and blue. MAN-E-NEWS// Jumbo-Kaggra custom keshi from Big Man Toys…

Continuing our look into the world of keshi/M.U.S.C.L.E in the build up to ‘Ed Skworm and Min-E-Face‘s release next month, we bring you Jumbo-Kaggra, a stunning keshi from UK based Big Man Toys. Based on the real-life wrestler of the same name, the custom figure comes complete with the infamous spiked mask worn by both Kaggra and Jumbo Kaggra. Originally sold in limited quantities online and a various wrestling shows, the final run of figures can now be acquired through the LittleRubberGuys thread here. Priced at just £5 each plus shipping, be sure to head over to the site quick… the mould is said to only have around 20 good pulls left before it’s scrapped forever. It’s important to note that the figure is available in pretty much any colour you desire, just hit up Big Man with your request (we’re plumping for flesh!)…

Revealed over at Spanky Stokes this weekend comes the latest creation from 2bitHACK, the “Smiley Copper” Banksy bootleg! Taking the infamous street artist’s iconic “Smiley Copper” piece, 2bitHACK has kit-bashed an action figure with a ‘Watchmen’ smiley face and helmet to create a near perfect rendition in toy form! Due to be making its way to this year’s San Diego Comic Con, the figure is set to come blister packed on a backing card with the original design (2bitHACK is currently trying to find a supplier for blister bubbles, so hit him up at @The2bitHACK  if you can help!). Expect more news on this awesome release soon…

MAN-E-NEWS// Handmade #6 EARTHMAN from Fool’s Paradise pre-order…

Revealed here last week, Fool’s Paradise‘s latest figure in the Handmade 12 series, #6 EARTHMAN, is finally gearing up for pre-order this week. 100% hand created, the impressive 12″ figure has been cast in resin, coming complete with the usual array of accessories we’ve come to expect from the elite brand, including a bright red suit, fluorescent tie and belt buckle, bunny-tongued shell toes, and of course, the breathtaking mecha-bunny helmet (including a newly revealed Hello Kitty bow) that’s had us drooling for the past month! Unfortunately, this guy runs pretty steep to say the least… with a price tag of $559 shipped ($589 with EMS), we’re guessing that only Fool’s Paradise diehards will apply. If the high point of entry doesn’t put you off, then be sure to head over to the Fool’s Paradise site on May 3oth at 8pm HK time to be in with a chance of scoring one of the art toy scene’s most extravagant pieces in recent years…

MAN-E-NEWS// Rampage Toys’ Wild Cat Ugly Unicorns and Buffalo Manotaur for ‘Pandemonium’…

Fresh from his appearance at Design Fiesta a couple of weeks back, Jon over at Rampage Toys has once again been preparing another breathtaking batch of customs, this time for the upcoming Pandemonium “Land Animal” themed show at the prestigious One Up shop in Akihabara (Tokyo). So far Jon has revealed 4 pieces that will be featuring, the monstrous “Hot Headed Buffalo” Manotaur, and, ranking alongside our favourite Ugly Unicorn customs yet, the beautiful Wild Cat UU’s! Coming in 3 one-off designs; Leopard, Lion and Tiger, the UU’s feature a beautiful combination of brown, sand, orange and white sprays, coupled with meticulous brush detailing (check out the hairs on the Lion’s back, stunning!). Unfortunately, due to the limited nature of these runs, it’s doubtful that these will be offered up on the Rampage store… so here’s keeping our fingers crossed that Jon will make some more in the (not to distant) future!

MAN-E-NEWS// The Melt Wizard custom series from Blurble x Monsterarm…

Blurble is proud to present his latest custom series, the amazing Melt Wizards! In a collaborative effort with Monsterarm (Honkeylips to his Instagram follower!), the set of 4 custom Munnys have been given Monsterarm’s signature “melt” makeover, whilst Blurble was on hand to paint the 4.5″ tall figures up with the usual Toxic Kaiju flair. Coming covered in glowing magical goo, 3 standard editions will be joined by a one-off rainbow face design (because as Blurble says, rainbow faces are awesome!). Priced at just $45 plus shipping, each piece will be sold blind-bagged, coming headed with stickers. Standing at 3.5″ tall, the all new 2 headed beast is set to initially come in a clear-purple hand cast resin with purple sprays and white/black detailing, and will be limited to an edition of just 10 pieces. Joined by a few one-off customs, the purple Germinal Goon will be hitting the We Kill You store next Wednesday (May 30th) at 12pm PST for an undisclosed price…

MAN-E-NEWS// The Mini Skelechubs from We Become Monsters…

With the first 3 Mini Skelechubs for the Toy Invaderz show previewed earlier in the week (here), we are pleased to reveal the staggering selection that We Become Monsters will be dropping in-store next week. Featuring a mixture of solid, clear and faded tints, the hand cast resin figures were created from the original 3.5″ design using a special shrinking material (hydroshrink) to make the new 2″ moulds. Capturing all of the detail and proportion that make Skelechub such a great figure, the minis are a must for any resin collector worth their salt. Set to land in the WBM store on Monday, 28th May, expect to pay just $12 each for these randomly packed and headed creatures. Revealed in our Killer Bootlegs feature a couple of weeks back (here), the latest figure in Peter Goral’s Cosmic Creeps line, the awesome Sharkgut Wayne Gracey, has finally touched down in the store! Kit-bashed from a vintage Ree Yees, Bossk, Nien Nunb, and Whiplash from He-man, the figure was given the name Sharkgut by his 4 1/2 year old daughter, whilst Wayne Gracey refers to the infamous American serial killer… Coming poly-bagged with a header card in true KB style, the bootleg, as with Mechatard J. Napier, has been cast in multiple marbled colours, with 5 chase variants coming in a cool clear resin. Available exclusively on the Killer Bootlegs store, Sharkgut can be yours for just $15 a piece. Standing at just 2-2.5″, the stunning kaiju inspired monsters have been cast in an authentic keshi-style urethane rubber. MAN-E-NEWS// “Axeface” resin figure from Monstrehero dropping this weekend…

Monstrehero, crafters of the highest quality resin pieces, are gearing up for the release of their highly anticipated Axeface figure this weekend. Taking inspiration from the classic MOTU action figure line, the musclebound, loin-cloth wearing axe warrior has got to be our favourite piece from the studio yet! Unlike previously thought in our reveal earlier this week (here), all of the figures will come uniquely named and adorned with a one-of-a-kind paint job. The mixture of tight sculpting, awesome colour schemes and guaranteed cast quality has us foaming at the mouth… definitely one for the MAN-E-TOYS collection! No news yet with regards to edition size (we’re guessing no more than 10), pricing, or an exact release time, so be sure to keep track of the Monstrehero blog for up to the minute info…
